I’ve been selling for a bit on eBay but never sold any vintage jeans. I’ve been binge watching your videos to gain more knowledge and literally 5 minutes after watching this video, I get a ebay message asking for the rise measurement on one of the very few women’s jeans in my store. Needless to say, I was prepared and responded quickly. They promptly purchased after! First of many to come
I have a pair of Levi's orange tabs that are made in Canada with both the male size and the female size? At least I think so. It's -32- 30. with arrows for the waist and leg, and size 16. Does that make sense?
@@LootFam Thanks dude. Do you think it might have something to do with the English and French as the official languages? I have an orange tab trucker that's made in Canada, and it has regular/reguliere for the size 46 and interestingly it has 75505 0212, and the jeans has 50619 0212. The jeans has 217 K/1 E217-36 and the back of the button is 217 and the jacket has C71 and r/5 but can't find a number on the back of any of the buttons? I'm selling both as an orange tab pair, but just need as much information as I can to accurately price them because both are in very good condition and are the same light wash color. Any info would be greatly appreciated, and thanks again.
Many years ago I bought a pair of "1980s" jeans from this guy on ebay, They had a hole in the crotch, the zipper didn't work , they weren't from the 1980s and they smelt of cheese. The jeans were in fact from the 1940s and inside the pocket was a a treasure map. I sold the jeans to a Japanese dealer for 50K. and with this cash I embarked on a fantastical treasure hunt with Kathleen Turner. After many adventures we finally secured the worlds largest red diamond. I now own TH-cam. Moral of the story kids is always check the pockets before you sell them.
I bought a pair of jeans that said it was made in 1987 but the tag said made in Mexico. I saw in one of your video you had said if it’s made in Mexico it’s after 2001
Levis stopped manufacturing jeans in the united states by 2001ish. The 501 was the last pair to be manufactured in the US. Though they had begun outsourcing other models a decade prior to that. I don’t believe levis was manufacturing in Mexico in 1987 at all, so i would be suspect of that date. If you’d like you van send me some photos of the jeans to lootfam1@gmail.com and i’ll take a look at them. Thanks for watching!
I found a pair of 505s from 1993 today, literally look brand new like they've never been washed. Got home and was showing my roommate the pairs I got today to find that those ones had the tab ripped off, and when I looked closer I realized it was an ORANGE TAB. OH THE TRAVESTY
Well, I want to tell you how awesome you are I cannot believe you are so nice and you really care thank you so much you are so detailed I love how you teach us about Levi's thank you so much🐕🐈🐞🥥🌲🐾🌻🥑🐝😇🐕🦺💜 It is very classy of you to say " I you HOPE you learn something " 🕉g, it's incredibly kind to share this information with me and I help animals so the animals to okay thank you so much we love your videos

Awesome!!
thanks for this video! i’m a small seller and want to really get into selling more vintage denim because it’s fun and also turns a good profit.
You're so welcome! Happy selling!
I've got a pair of Levi's 501 40x33 button fly from 1983-1986 dark wash, never washed, never worn... using your photo tips for sure. Any other tips?
Do you know the material code? If they are unwashed and Shrink To Fit then they will be worth a bit more. One of the STF codes is 0000
@@LootFam tag says 501-0000 so I think it is a STF. Awesome!
Thank you so much🐾🐶🌻
I’ve had the same style of pants in the same size fit differently due to being a different color.
Very nice!! Smart information 😀

I think I’ve seen that before. It seems to only be on some international products.

Hahaha! I love this.
I'm no expert, but something smells fishy about your story?Care to elaborate on how an "80's pair of jeans and one from the 40's compare?

I have a pair of vintage (?) unwashed Levi’s 517. They look a little dirty. Should I wash them before reselling? Does that hurt the value?
It can, but not always. Sometimes, if the distressing and soil adds to the ascetic then it might help it.
Whew...😓...that's a lotta little things to properly do...💯✔
Bro I have some very very old levis jeans whr I sell?probably1930 1940
Send me some photos id love to see! Lootfam1@gmail.com

Oh man! Some people are crazy cutting tabs off... Dope find!
@@LootFam still super excited to have them!!
What’s wrong with an orange tag?
Sir i have vintage jeans in quantity
If you are selling 501s then you shouldn't need to say straight and provide the hip and rise. The waist and inseam should be sufficient.

What's the oldest a jeans can be when you can still say "Y2K" ? 2005?
Great question. 2005 seems reasonable to me.
@@LootFam Thanks Josh!
