This video taught me more than all the other diy bow and arrow videos I have watched. You explain all the details and don't forget to mention even the littlest details that come with experience. Most others forget about it because they don't realise that someone who has less experience with it than them won't know it. And it didn't take half an hour to do everything. Sorry folks, I know you have fun out there, but I really don't care about your dinner and coffee and how beautiful the nature around you is.
Can’t imagine how the native tribes would do this for hundreds of arrows. I mean you gotta spend the day doing something. My question is how did the early humans figure this stuff out? From the natural glue which must’ve been an accidental invention to using the feathers to stabilize the arrow and the sinew to tie it
I love this channel. Video duration is minimal, and it really teach us about bushcraft technique, while other bushcraft channels are trying so hard to sell something.
When I first started using sinew a long time ago I was fascinated by it. Now not a day goes by where I’m not chewing it. It doesn’t rot, it is very good for you as well. I like to flavor mine with peppermint.
I do contest one point - don’t use the arrowheads for sawing. Just use a scrap flake. You want those serrations razor sharp so they don’t get hung up in the hide. Other than that, cool video!
Great handcraft, wonderfull easy explanations without any over explanation or the often seen standard: " I am godfather of ....." Just an easy handcrafter and buscrafter and much advise for avoiding damage or injuries, very pleasant showing experience and training..good job:-)! Have a great outdoor year 2024, !
@@kodiak17_24flint is the best rock for arrow heads next to obsidian but pretty hard to find flint in MI and impossible to find obsidian😂 I got a bunch of flint while in Missouri

I'm pretty sure hunger was a big motivator

They learned it through trial and error initially and passed down the skills to their children.

how to you identefy napabale matterial to make the arrow head of tool head?
Not 100% sure, but check dark rocks of moderate size, should break open easily and have a waxy smooth interior
