    Reminds me of the "steak bombs" I used to get at a place on Bird Rd near Coconut Grove years ago. Everyone knew when you'd been there because you came back to the office smelling like one!

    Hey Big Cat 305, thank you for all the videos, you’re giving me some great ideas and motivation to buy the 22” Blackstone....still loving the music you are using, would love to know who the artist is and what album you’re using for your background music. When you get a chance shoot that info to me. Do I understand the butane tank burn much hotter than the small canisters?

    • @cookingwithbigcat
      @cookingwithbigcat  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried to look up the artist and I have it saved as Salsa 1, Salsa 2, etc... I downloaded this free music on Jan 3rd which was the day before my very first video. Sorry, not sure who the artist is. The 20lb tank definitely burns hotter than the small canisters. Probably because you can control the large tank and not the canisters.

    Looks good as usual. I did something stupid today. I bought a rack of pork ribs and was planning to cook them on my griddle but it looks like nobody else has done that without cutting each piece of rib off separate and cooking like that. Have you ever cooked a whole rack of ribs on your griddle before ? I hate cutting mine up separately to cook. Have you had any dealing with this Cat ? Thanks for any advice you can give me..........Terry

    • @cookingwithbigcat
      @cookingwithbigcat  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Terry, I've never attempted to cook ribs on my Blackstone. Ribs are definitely a slow and low cook so you might want to cook them in the oven first (if you don't have a smoker/charcoal grill) and then you can put them on the griddle for the last 5-10 minutes just to give them some color. Check out my 'Ridiculous Ribs" video and you'll see what I mean by slow and low. Good luck!!!

    I’m just curious, how often do you use the lid/hood when your cooking? Is this an accessory that can wait or should I buy when I buy the Blackstone.

    • @cookingwithbigcat
      @cookingwithbigcat  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't use it necessarily for cooking. I prefer the Grill Dome which is great for steaming. However the lid works great when you leave it out for a while. Protects the surface from rain, flying creatures, etc... If you have a Walmart near you they sell the whole kit (griddle, stand, legs, hood, etc...) for $147. That is where I got mine.

    Why is the salt the only spice you have an automatic grinder for? I sense some discrimination towards pepper

    • @cookingwithbigcat
      @cookingwithbigcat  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny you should ask. I got the stainless steel set (salt and pepper) a couple years ago at Home Depot after Christmas for around $10 (on clearance). Last year one of them stopped working and I've been searching for another set that I like but they are not cheap. So for now I will continue to discriminate the pepper. LOL!! Thanks for the comment!!!

    I watched a couple of your videos and for the most part they are great. I’m disappointed in this one though, I clicked on it because of the heading stating Miami style. It looks like a regular Philly cheesesteak to me. Only thing you really did different is the garlic mayo.

    • @cookingwithbigcat
      @cookingwithbigcat  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Fred, ok full disclosure here. That was my THIRD video ever made and I was definitely trying to get people to watch it. However, to my defense, the main reason I said Miami Cheese Steaks is because there are a lot of the latin style sandwiches here that the breads are smashed down almost flat with the meats inside and they are incredible. That was the main reason I said Miami Cheese Steaks. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!

      Cooking with Big Cat 305 your honesty gained you a subscriber, a philly with a little Miami flare does sound amazing though. I just got my first Blackstone. 17” For camping but After seasoning it and cooking on it the first time it has been used almost daily. So easy to cook on and come up with new ideas.
