    you bought the wrong car if you start complaining about the quality issues. Stop comparing with cars that are 100k or 200k against 55k car before tax incentive. Tesla always got issues with their quality, but they are getting better year over year. Tesla Model 3 is not a hatchback, and never was. I don't know why you even complaining about this. Lastly, just pay $99 a year and call it a day. Dude, that's not even cost of couple coffees per month.

    • @BlackbirdProductions
      @BlackbirdProductions  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You are right about Tesla getting better year over year which I do address in the video but the quality still isn't completely dialed in. Being a new Tesla owner these quality issues are foreign to me and I feel even dodge being the budget brand they are have their build quality dialed in this time around. Super cars definitely wasn't the best comparison but you can definitely purchase a lightly used i8 or Porsche for less than a new model 3 performance and get better build quality. Lastly, I have a rather unique use case when it comes to using a hotspot with the car. Maybe I should make a video on that. The other thing is I'm tired of subscriptions and otherwise free services I could use on my phone shouldn't be paywalled unless it offered more like Amazon prime. For example if Tesla offered free Netflix or Prime with their subscription then I would justify the cost- hell I'd pay $20/mo for it but currently it doesn't really offer anything extra that I could otherwise use my phone for.

      That's crazy. They've made cars since 2008. Get off your knees, you'll realize it's a near 60k car, there needs to be a standard, every right to complain about QC. Maybe why pay $99 when you got free hotspot. Have you even worked a day in your life? You must be a nepo baby or a keyboard warrior.

      and even with that you're still comparing a 60k TM3 to a 140k I8 in terms of build quality. I have a 2019 model S and the build quality is more than acceptable, theres's always some minor defaults but nothing that you can see instantly when going in the car.

      if you wanted to compare with a BMW try comparing it with a new M2 (even this one is too expensive).
      You're comparing different type of cars for different lifestyle.
      Tesla is more "it works, it's simple and it's fun", the I8 is like "the perfection in every single space". The first one need almost no repair, the second one will have one every 20k Km...

    Why did you get the worst color for the M3P? That’s the consensus in the entire Tesla community, the Tesla black is a non-metallic, and has the least coats out of all the color options. If you wanted a dark color, you should just get stealth grey. Multicoat and metallic. But for m3p, the red is the correct choice. Either way, the rest of the complaints and comparisons are ridiculous.

    My three gripes:
    (1) The turn signal buttons can occasional jam. It happens more often with my wife who has shorter fingers than I do. It can a several hard presses to unjam.
    (2) The phone charges tend to overheat my iphone. I've tried rotating the phone upside down but still no luck. I wish Tesla would dump whatever Qi charger it is using and switch to MagSafe to make sure the charging lines up perfectly.
    (3) Dandruff can get stuck in the seat vent holes. Wiping doesn't work. Vacuuming mostly works but not perfect. I may need some kind of soft brush.

    I’ve seen the orange peel paint in a few videos and was a bit concerned about it.
    I was in the Tesla showroom earlier this week and checked out their showroom and demonstrator cars. None of them had this problem.

    My Tesla Model 3 Performance 2024 the light bar on the driver's door has those defects. Just had my new car for a couple of weeks. I noticed the defects of the light bar in bright sunlight one day. I think it's manufacturing defects in the plastic, not the adhesive. 2 of my defects are in the plastic itself using a magnifying glass.. At night with a light bar on I can't even see the defects, but off yes I can. My trunk trim right side has fallen. I have to go in for service for that. Also noticed after delivery the front splitter has scuffs on it underneath on the sides, not the front. Online posts by other customers regarding scuffs I think are caused by delivery trucks. Didn't notice until I got in my cool garage. It was like 100 degrees on black asphalt delivery day so I didn't lay on the ground, I should have. The rest of the car is OK. I actually bought a $17 assist aid to help get in & out of the car. The car cane attaches to the door latch & makes it easier to get over the bolstering of the seat. I also did a Stealth PPF wrap on my black car.

    • @BlackbirdProductions
      @BlackbirdProductions  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah... I'm not 100% sure about the light bar. I could put in a service request for it but I'm not sure what good it will do if it happens again. I haven't seen any manufacturing defects in any of the plastics. I had my trunk molding replaced under warranty which is something I talked about in another video. The stealth black PPF I'm sure looks pretty cool. I didn't mention it in any of my videos yet, but I did get full front clear PPF installed on my Tesla which is still curing but I'm taking the car to get the PPF install inspected and adjusted tomorrow since there are some edges coming up and they may have to redo the mirrors. So we'll see with that.

    Well it's a 500+ horsepower car with acceleration times that you couldn't get even in million dollar supercars if you go back a few years. It also gives a M3 a run for its money now with the new suspension setup and better brakes. And that's not easy to do if you've ever owned a M3 you'd know. I'm not a big EV guy. I don't think I even like them that much but what Tesla have done here is pretty impressive. Lamborghini Revuelto levels of performance but without the price. I'm not sure that I would buy it but the numbers don't lie. I understand the annoyances though. Tesla should sort that. Still I don't know that I would complain that much about a 500 horsepower monster like this. You ever try an early 90s Nissan Skyline GTR? That was a rough car. Monster performance but rough as guts. We've come a long way since then. Put new brakes on this and take it to the track. For every day I think maybe the long range model is a better choice I don't know.

      @@BlackbirdProductions They're a bit rare here because they weren't exported until after 2010 I think or somewhere around there. But I lived in Australia during the late 90s and all of 2000s and they were plentiful there. All of my mates had RX7's and WRX's and stuff but there were a few GTRs too. Mine was one of them. I think it was about 30 grand I paid or maybe a little less I can't remember. The R32 version. It was cool but definitely a rough car. That Tesla looks way more refined and a car you could live with day to day. One of the reasons I switched to BMW was they're still a lot of fun but the level of refinement was far beyond what the GTR was. It's interesting Tesla have kind of marketed that Model 3 Performance into what could be a day to day car. I wish I had 500 horsepower in the my GTR and that it was a better daily so when I see the Tesla videos it's like oh yeah I get it. Not perfect but 500 horsepower in a car that's 50 grand that's pretty good. Yeah it's not as refined as BMW or Porsche but it's also a little cheaper and still okay for the most part. I see them at local car meets and cars and coffee all the time here but every build is unique that is what makes them so cool to me. The reason I settled on the model 3 performance is because for the price it gives you everything you need. Power, distinctive styling, practicality, and it also drives super smooth when you want it to. I couldn't think of anything at the time of my purchase that could meet so many needs in a single car.

Good to know they've proliferated since in spite of them not being exported for a long time. To certain markets I mean. Yeah this Model 3 thing seems like a good all 'rounder really. Like I said if it's a performance/sports car then nothing really else should matter but the performance. The GTR interior rattled and the glove box was fucked and it was all around kind of shit as a daily car. If I could have afforded another car I would have bought it and just kept the GTR as a sports car. Anyway it was fine but compared to levels of refinement you get today even in a shitty Tesla (by shitty I'm just reflecting on your comments about build quality) it was pretty rough. I LOOOVVVVE the automatic blindspot cameras! You shouldn't be darting into lanes. You signal before you change lanes

      I do signal before changing lanes. The only difference is I don't use the automatic blindspot cameras because in my opinion they are distracting. Instead, I just look out of my rear view mirrors and use the new blindspot indicators in the speakers.

    I stopped watching when he was comparing a 50k car with the most advanced tech in any vehicle with a 200k dollar ICE car from 2014. He even says those would be comparable. Is he delusional or something? Or comparing a mass produced vehicle with a McLaren?

      Sorry, I should have clarified. Cost wise they are comparable in today’s prices since the i8 depreciated to rock bottom and you can buy a used one for the same price as a new M3P, but after reviewing the other comments and the video I still don’t believe they are comparable since the i8 is more of a show car with some practicality but not as versatile as a Tesla.

    Sounds like you are too snobby for a Tesla, time to go back to Lexus and BMW bro

    The choppy editing and the out of sync audio are super distracting. Had to quit the video midway.

      Sorry about that. This definitely wasn't my best video, and I'm working towards providing better more consistent quality along with more organized and valid content.

      Yeah that's what I hear. They are great cars, I just hope they get the quality completely dialed in sooner than later. I understand not every car is perfect but this is a brand new car in 2024 with 2008 dodge quailty issues.
