Another great piece. I didn't know pin oak had such beautiful grain in it. Guess I need to go find some pin oak and turn something.
I wasn't aware either, but was really happy with it! FYI- it does NOT smell great.
Awesome work prayers for KM

Thank you, Steve! The graining is out of this world for sure! So I wouldn't be surprised if E.T. was hiding in there.

Stuart

The grain in this awesome piece of work is fantastic!

Get better Kam!
Thank you very much, Doug!!! I appreciate that feedback!
Looks great Daniel!👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks, Brother!!!
nice piece DD
Thanks, Luie! Glad you liked it!
Beautiful work. I'm currently turning a piece of monkey puzzle about 15 inches in diameter. I've kept my tailstock in place as long as possible while hollowing out as I would hate it to depart the chuck and hit the floor.
Good luck Kam from Ireland.
Thanks, Kam! I definitely use the tailstock as much as possible! Thanks for the feedback, and would love to see pictures of your finished piece!
That turned out really nice, Daniel!
Thank you very much, Billy!
Great looking bowl nicely done 👍👍
Thanks, William! I appreciate the feedback!
Your very welcome 🙏
Jam🙏
Thanks for watching!
OH MY !! It is beautiful!! Will you do anything to stabilize it?
Thank you! I will not, I want to see how (and if) it moves as it dries.
Some grain that.
I agree, Stewart! Thank you for watching!
Great bowl! That chainsaw needs a sharpen though!
Thank you! It ALWAYS needs a sharpen.... the joys of having so much wood to process.
👍❤️❤️
Thank you very much, William! I appreciate the feedback!
Great work, wonderful grain on timber and are the glue blocks always successful? In Australia our hardwoods do need a lot of support, but will give it a go. Thanks, John.
Thank you, John! I have had really good luck with glue blocks. Just make the face of the glue block a little concave to hold a little extra glue, and go around the piece when it's attached. I am working on a piece of Red Mallee Burl that used 2 glue blocks!
Astonishing grain in this piece Daniel and the shape shows it to its best as well.
Great video as ever.
Take care my friend.
Cheers, Huw
PS Where did you buy the invisible Chainsaw Visor?
Thank you, Huw. Normally I wear safety glasses with my chainsaw, but picking the piece was a last minute decision and I couldn't find them. They are now safely stored with my chainsaw for future use.
@@TournageDubois 👍👍👏👏
I made something very similar to that but i have to say the grain in mine was no where near as good as yours, you have made an excellent job on that i congratulate you
Thank you kindly!!! It was lucky for sure! I appreciate the feedback.
Kam
Thank you!
1st
Why does anyone else even bother trying, Huw?
Bill
