Binge watched you whole series over past couple of weeks, you've given some great inspiration for places to visit in Croatia. Me and my family have driven from the UK to Venice a couple of times and it made the same impression on us. Love your adventure.

Probably get a canvas cover made for it I think 💭 We were just back in Australia and it’s so expensive! I guess Atleast venice you just spend that price because you’re in a tourist hot spot and you kind of expect it but even in the old pubs in Australia it’s mostly gotten expensive hey, it’s crazy!!! I haven’t had time to catch up their episodes for a little bit but I’ll have to have a look 😆 she’s def got the body for it though 😝
It is pricey, the pasta to go and €3 aperol’s were great though so we stuck to that mostly haha and other than that just explored and did lots of walking. I can only imagine how busy it would be in summer 😳 cheers
Stunning entry to the city!!!! When I was there I noticed they used to charge more on the German/English menu compared to the Italian menu. Can’t believe you had a shit pizza, I didn’t have a bad meal in Italy ever….. still, have to experience it all.

After your late-night pizza, how did you get back to the little island where your boat was? I was in that same marina, but stuck in town after the water buses quit for the night. We paid a fortune to some private guy for a quick lift over to the marina.
@@LeadingtheEscapade That was 2014. For night owls like me and my party friends, better to stay at that Saint Elena marina, or whatever it's called. But that view from the island marina!! They just didn't like us showering naked on the seawall, but the photo are priceless.

Heya, so we exported our new tender and outboard so we had an agent who did our paperwork for this so we could have the VAT exempt for the purchase. So they checked us out and said we were sailing to Montenegro, then we just had to sail out into international waters and then we just went to Italy. But when we arrived in Italy, because we had stamped into the Schengen zone, even though we stamped out. They wouldn’t stamp us back in, but we had our crew list stamped. This could’ve worked really in our favour as we were just stamped in as crew which meant we could probably stay aslong as we wanted without it counting onto Schengen time, but we ended up stamping out of Greece and going back to Australia in December anyway Hope this all makes sense 😄
Venice is just costly at any time. The last time we were there we bought tickets for the water bus to head back to our hotel and then found out 20 minutes later there was a strike during the day that day and no buses running even though we had seen them earlier in the morning. When we got home we emailed the transit company and got no sympathy and just told no refunds in the event of strikes. Typical Venice treatment of tourists. Burano was a highlight. Neat to see it from your water view.
Oh no!! How bloody annoying 😩 especially seeing as it’s not cheap for those passes! Worth it if you can actually use them but yeah Burano was so cool! Loved it 😍 cheers
When you guys were talking about the price of food, I’m not sure how long you have been out of Australia, but seriously during covid, everything started getting expensive, and it’s seriously not got better. A decent pizza here now is about $30 auds , Everything is super expensive.. i think they thought anyone is used to paying that amount now, so lets keep it expensive.. a takeaway fish and chips for one person is about $15 dollars now.. Coles is actually advertising “we haven’t put the price up in 3 years “. Not chit, but you haven’t brought them down either.. you maybe in for a rude shock! Any Aussies agree?

We actually just spend 3.5 months back in Oz over Christmas so we saw how pricey it had gotten but it’s pricey anyway compared to overseas and even though that is what you’d pay in Australia for a pizza it’s not so common here and we’ve gotten used to European prices so it was pretty expensive comparing 😅

Swear on it J Jays.. prices of everything even since xmas have gone up, our free trade agreement with China has been flushed, that started over Trump and our dim witted government agreeing with him, so we basically insulted China, now the tariffs are really kicking the crap out the mining industry, having a huge knock on affect.. a FUBR situation, the government has described to tax us to death to get out of it, we are 11,000 gps short, so seeing your doctor is a joke, we have hospital staff leaving in droves, Education is suffering, this has all started since xmas! Anything that was $5 is now roughly $7.50.. but we just order two nuclear submarines for 300 billion dollars.. wtf? That per head of population works out to about 12,000 per person, every person.. although to the point you’re born they should give you a $12.000 invoice.. there is no logic..

When was this video taken? Several news sources reported most, if not all, of the canals in Venice are dry due to drought.

Look into the lens not the lcd screen/viewfinder.. makes you look kinda blind otherwise.. Besides you're supposed to be talking to your viewers not yourself, right? 😉🙂
I know I keep noticing that I think I’m just checking to make sure I have the camera out far enough. Not used to filming on a phone yet which a large screen to distract my eyes. But I’ll get better
