+Kenny T I've also heard it called the Double Loop Figure-of-8. Here, a single figure-of-8 is a simple knot on a single strand. We'd call a double figure-of-8 the same as a figure-of-8-on-a-bight - ie it has a double strand running all the way through.
I think a little more explanation would be great for when positioning the figure 8. If it's started with the top orientated the other way to shown it ends up confusing.
