This is my first real orchestral project that I finished a while back, when I entered it into Toastbeard. Recently Hmage came along with his crazy mastering skills and gave it new life, making it worthy of a post on TH-cam. :D I've always loved orchestral music, so this is a song that I could really let my imagination go wild on. It's way different than my usual stuff, but I hope you enjoy it!
Makkon was a huge inspiration for this track, as he has been and always will be an inspiration to all of my music. Gosh, I love that guy.

I LOVE THAT LEGATO PATCH SO MUCH... Oh gosh, sometimes I just like to play the Titanic theme song with that patch for no reason at all. I freaking love the flute. And legato, for that matter!
And thank you for the compliment! I plan on doing a lot more orchestral pieces. Most of my songs have orchestral influences anyway, so I'm going to work on an EP of orchestral instrumentals.
No matter how many tracks you release. This will always be my favorite. I haven't heard it in maybe, three years. But, I still know every single bit.

You combined my favorite things on this planet into one amazing song that can wipe away any trouble I am facing in life, the song is just so peaceful, it shows us all what you think, and you think of peace, loving kindness, and harmony all into one five minuet piece of true art. You sir /)
This song seems sad, yet hopeful and adventurous. like fluttershy believes that she may have lost her friends, but there is a small bit of her that thinks that they are out there... somewhere.
this song... it tells a story without words. by telling a story without words, it allows each individual to interpret it as they see fit. i see the end of days, and i see a fluttershy alone looking out over it in sadness. i'd give details, but giving detail to what an orchestral song tells you in your mind makes people think of the story you thought up, not their own mind's version. the reason i enjoy orchestral or instrumental music is because of how much it can create without making anything.
I like this. It's almost soothing, and most definitely calming. You should do more of this type of music.

But I think the magic of orchestral music is that it uses melody and percussion to convey a story in a different way than vocals can... It emulates emotions rather than words, and leaves one to use his own imagination to take him wherever the song is designed to.
this song is sad but also extremely powerful. it makes me sad so much at the start i just sit here crying but as the song starts to hit the middle it picks me up and makes me see the light.

I thought I heard a familiar flute legato patch in there. Excellent work BTW love the pizzicato strings carrying the tempo. Its a tranquil piece yet it has a sense of drive and passion. Overall a great composition. You should do orchestral pieces more often.

She wasn't sure what has happened, or why it happened, the only thing she knew is that she was still alive...but only her. She looked back, staring at what was her home some hours ago, just a shadow of the beauty Ponyville was before. Even Canterlot was only ruins after the massive fire that consumed it.
Fluttershy shed a last tear for all the sacrifices made, specially for her six most close friends. But she held her head high and kept on going, knowing those sacrifices won't never be in vain.
Best song I have ever heard about a pony and a zombie apocalypse I have ever heard. That's a fact.

This song... it makes me feel like I've come a long way. That there have been many hardships I've overcome, and there'll be many more. That I'll go far, but in the end I'll fail. My efforts will be futile. I may help others get farther than I could ever hope, but... at least I'll leave fulfilled. But until that day comes, I won't stop fighting. I'll keep going, until I know it's time to pass the torch. When that day comes, as I said, I'll leave... fulfilled.

Okay...pardon my French, but this is fucking awesome. The way that you seem to capture both a sense of hope and despair all at the same is just stunning. It gives you that feeling of finally reaching reaching that light at the end of the tunnel, and it's not everything it's cracked out to be. There's a bittersweetness to it. Well done dude.

I liked the "Lyrics" in the description. I actually listen to songs without lyrics all the time (most commonly trailer scores and TV soundtracks, and the like) but was still expecting words to start at some point. I guess because all your other songs do.
