Love the calves. Very good looking. Love the way you tend to them. Enjoyed your trip to get sawdust. We used to use straw all the time. My uncle always grew oats and the stalks were used for straw for bedding. Sure do miss that life. But your videos allow me to reflect on my time on the farm. Some things never change in farm life. That's one thing I like the most was when we had baby cows when I was on the farm they're always so cute but they're also so dumb until they're about a week old
They are doing well !! I miss the sounds from the barns and the smells can't beat that .I use to farm as well Lol Your having a hard time with the cows and trying to do a video !! Lol

I love Brent's comment of the road being rough like the Oregon trail. In Eastern Oregon we live with in minutes of the trail and there is a 20 mile section you can drive on/by with historical markers along the way. I loved his saying, "busier than a one legged man in a pie kicking contest"!

Those dip tanks contain a fungicide. I have friends that ran a sawmill and they dipped there lumber. There's a fungus that will cause the lumber to get streaks of a blue stain running through it. It'll turn top grade lumber into pallet grade in short order!
You know the way things are you have to weigh your Ides on where you go for the cost of fuel and time because you said that sawdust plant was a long ways away but what was the cost of fuel to get there even though the sawdust was cheaper
You need to bring a microwave so you could take & make a breakfast sandwich why you're there at the barn cuz I know what it's like when you hurry up and get to the barn and you haven't had breakfast yet I did that for just under 4 years so I know what you're going through just coffee does not cut it

What is the price of gas where you are at right now where I'm at it's 3:05 a gallon for regular gas 10% alcohol
Across in New Brunswick , it's around $ 1.53 / liter . times that by 4.5 and that will be our gallon .
Ours is around 3:30 a gallon
