More like Mark crushed a cockroch that will soon come back to haunt him
3:08 whats this sound in the background called? Where to download? Or listen?
This show never hesitates to show gore, the fact it wasn't shown tells us the beating he have Angstrom is beyond anything we've seen.
It also shows us Mark is *WAY* stronger than he believes
@@CrasherX2000yeh he’s so shaken because he never believed he was capable of what his dad did.
I’d say in terms of combat experience and even power Angstrom is similar to S1 Mark (not familiar with his power and unwilling to use it), so for him to turn Angstrom into a paste is terrifying to him, because it’s a mirror image of what his dad did to him
Just wait until did the fight with Conquest.
Steven's performance this season, especially this episode, deserves a big applause
👏
I would have to say it's Oscar worthy
No, *WHY* WOULD YOU LIE TO ME AGAIN?
You are a big applause.
I agree, but I think one of the most underrated of the cast was Sterling K Brown who played Angstrom Levy. He truly put all of his soul into this role.
"I thought you were stronger"
So did he.
He was not HIM
Angstrom thought he was TITLE CARD 😂
No he didn’t, he knew he couldn’t beat invincible…hence why he was trying to “soften him up” by sending him across universes.
@@cbmjoe06he thought Invincible was mentally stronger than snapping and turning him into a puddle. he knew he wanted to break Mark but didn’t think it would happen that quickly
00:56 Those two innocent npc got thrown into another dimension for no reason. RIP 😭😭

I think we can all relate to the rage Mark felt at seeing what Angstrom did to his mother. No wonder he lost control
I agree anyone with superpowers would have done the same thing
He had every right to go berserk
Mark's a literally me character
@@noaaraiza386 the advantage mark has over Viltrumites is that Viltrumites don't have adrenaline and were taught to supress their emotions meaning mark can co berserk
@@saipranavpalla1467I’m sorry but I don’t know when this rumor started but it’s never stated anywhere that viltrumites lack adrenaline. They’re identical to humans in every way other than their powers. Adrenaline ≠ rage
I know Angstram was thinking while his face was getting beat in "I think I went too far with this revenge thing". Straight turned his grillpiece into soup.
nah, just u wait till next season 😭😭
@@Cichyhub what volume or issue should I start reading in comics after finished watching season 2?
@@Hamza-qh1io you should just read the entire comic start to finish because there are differences, such as events playing out in totally different times and changes in character relationships.
I dont think so. He lost his family in every other universe, and all because of Mark. So if he manage to survive this beating, like he did in the comics, he will get after Mark again, and actually stronger this time
"I thought... I thought you were... *I thought you were stronger* " That line was my favorite of this season

I think the violent beatdown was also triumphant, contrary to what Mark himself may think, which is totally understandable
Angstrom is probably one of the saddest characters I've ever seen. The person who was closest to saving worlds, reduced to an insane man controlled by his own trauma.

I know it’s traumatic for him and he’s going to have nightmares about it for a while, after all it’s called “moral injury” for a reason, but sometimes you need to do questionable things to protect what or who you care about. It was a “Them or him” situation. No peaceful choices, since he tried but it didn’t work.
Exactly. If you can't get violent to protect or avenge your family, you weren't worth being family to begin with.
Well…
There was also the fact he was stranded in a different dimension with no way to get back
Only having been saved by plot convenience from the future
There's really no reason for it to even be traumatic
Wrong. Only the foolish cry over granting justice
That is the consistent problem with nemeses.
Yes, having a "Rogues Gallery" is fun in fiction. It is a nice literary device. At the same time, having a guy who will torment you, often violently, over and over, and never, ever, go away or give up is just a Stalker. You cannot just send him to Arkham and then do this again when they escape. And if those guys aren't sent to a proper prison or learn to leave their victims alone...there is only one of two ways this is going to go.
Plus Angstrom is suffering from some kind of psychotic damage from his experiment that cannot be repaired. You can't even hold him still long enough for that.
“THINK ANGSTROM! WHAT WILL YOU HAVR AFTER YOU SEND ME THROUGH 500 PORTALS!”
"I don't know....satisfaction...I really don't know i got 100 guys in me....that sounded way too weird."

1:36 - 2:25 Some of Steven Yeuns best work
I hope he didn’t lose his voice after recording this scene because showing Mark’s rage like that must have taken a lot of yelling 🥵😅
Just because of that I consider Steve as Mark Grayson
Seriously. 2:16 is one of the most raw and furious deliveries I’ve heard in voice acting
2:15 onwards is just amazing, the understandable and total rage Mark feels is palpable.
Angstrom chose the one Mark who wasn’t evil and decided to harass him, he kinda brought this on himself
No matter what people may say about the animation quality, Steven Yeun could voice a stickman video and it would still work.
Facts. Steven is a huge part of what makes this show so great imo.
Yeah I literally never noticed the animation flaws this season until everyone started pointing them out and complaining, that's how captivating the show is
@@knightgabriel1311 I just kinda realized that too. The voice acting, sound effects, and even the music are all so great that they tend to mostly distract you from the (admittedly flawed) animation quality.
I think the reason the season 2 trailer looks better is because it's a trailer.
I'm not an animator, so I'm probably way off.
You can here angstrum snorting his own blood top teir sound design
I mean the very fact he reacted the way he did after he had done with he had done which he was forced to shows that he's very different from Omni Man

The icing on the cake for me here is they don’t even show us what Angstroms corpse looked like after the beating. The show never held back before until now. My only guess is there wasn’t anything left of him to show.
No, It’s the same in the comics as well
@@CheckSea1That makes it even more brutal imo. I haven’t read the comics yet so I was unaware.
It’s an example of letting the mind fill in the blanks of just how bad the beatdown was. Like we’ve seen people torn to shreds in this show (look at the first episode of the show for an apt example), but nothing that would imply that the show-runners needed to hold back from showing the carnage.
Missed nolan action in season 2 badly
This season was more about debbie and mark's character growth and dilemmas tbh. More so than Nolan's "development" and besides he's already got his spotlight on season one of the show. Although it would be interesting to see when they finally reconcile as a family.
Oh, don't worry. The next seasons promise a lot of Nolan action.
