Very interesting and fun intervallo, lots of questions answered, every character was great, plenty of things being added to the overall story and them trying to mix the gameplay a bit was appreciated, even if it didn't end up being all that different; with the way the trailer was presented, was expecting more of a joke intervallo to fill the dead time between Cantos, really glad that it ended up being way more than that. Just a bit surprised Hong Lu still didn't get to have that much screen time, given that his Canto is coming up, guess we'll have to wait until Nocturnal Sweeping to make a real build-up for it.
it's interesting that Rodya is somehow stronger than Heath and Fish, considering their backgrounds as fixer and syndicate bloke who's always ready to fight, so it adds to the theory that there is not everything that we have to Rodya's backstory
Regarding the power hierarchy thing, I don’t see it as simply being power level fan service, but something that also gives us an idea of the kind of background everyone has. From Yi Sang to Don, we go from the scale of civilians to those who are higher up in terms of what factions are backing them, with Meursault being the only real mystery. Like we can tell Ryoshu was likely someone famous among the Syndicates and Faust is a part of an up-and-coming company that’s aiming to become a Wing, but we’ve got nothing on Meursault except that he was part of N Corp and he used to party hard.
My best guess in regards to Meursault would be that he was a Taboo Hunter, given his placement next to the likes of Ryoshu (and Faust who is likely this high due to her network connection). What I find real interesting is Greg being an exception - potential hint to his ego arm having sephirot on it, perhaps?
@ My own pet theory regarding that is that Gregor was Hermann’s own attempt at creating the primordial form of humanity even before she joined N Corp. If you look up what Adam Kadmon is, he’s basically described as the primordial man made of infinite light/pure potential that contains all the Sefirot within himself, and that lines up with Hermann’s apparent goals and the symbols appearing on Gregor’s base EGO. Though as Gregor only has 5 of the Sefirot on his arm, he’s like an incomplete Adam Kadmon?

Just a thing: you don't lose the exp points. They are converted to tickets accordingly, so if everyone is level 50, you'd get the same amount of exp you'd get, but stored as tickets.
I'm so interested that Outis ranked second, above Ryoshu, Heathcliff, Ishmael and Hong Lu (people I expected to rank higher). She's the most Mysterious sinner by far, and now we've been told that she's strong enough to compare to Ryoshu, someone who we've been given constant reminders of her strength and ability even before becoming sinners.
Outis being a soldier/smoke war veteran would likely attribute to this. Military grade training aimed to kill others + Outis's cunning and wits. Even if she doesnt have the raw strength or technique of the other sinners, she certainly is most likely to fight dirty to win.
@@Laevatrien2 it's def more than just that, she recognized the river of oblivion by its name, not to mention her vast expertise in things like seafaring (as far as I remember, no naval combat took place during smoke war)
@@knifedude4195 Outis was definitely someone of very significant ranking prior to Limbus. She constantly boasts about her former position and hints about her accomplishments after all. And she is based on Odysseus, a literal king.
The fight is much harder when using the "wrong" teams, but it's by no means unfair. This passive weakening mechanic happens multiple times during the fight, so you could disable all of his passives and get all the dialogue. It's a tough fight, but not unfair.
@@nikmaxter bleed team, that's all. Just win clashes and your SP will always maintain on 35-45. During his block and "powerful skill" stages bleed count is raising like craaazy. I can see why people can have troubles, but good team + reading is all it needs.

Wait, for real? I only got the passive nerf once, and my fight lasted like 19 turns because I had a team more focused on survivavility than firepower.
