US deputy ambassador to UN insists Israel accepted US ceasefire proposal

- The US is trying to shore up support for a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas proposed by President Joe Biden last month.
It is putting this latest draft to the UN Security Council.
Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo has the latest at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Thomas Pickering is a Former US Ambassador to the UN, Jordan and Israel.
He says the ceasefire proposal being put to the Security Council offers hope for an end to suffering in Gaza.

Unfortunately the US is the only Nation that has any power at all to "influence" the Israeli war cabinet, which is why they are in the middle of all of this. It's US funding, aid, weapons and support that's protecting the Israelis as they continue these atrocities. It's the US veto, condemnations of the ICC, ICJ and even UNSC that's allowed the continued deaths and destruction we are seeing in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. If Biden would grow a pair and say no more, this could have been ended months ago. But He and Blinken have been very sneaky in the transfer of weapons without Congressional approval. So, in short, that's why the US is in the middle.

In every deal proposed by USA/Israel there is the invocation of food aid increase then they denied using starvation against palestinians as a weapon. This is a clear contradiction and it shows that starvation is and was used as a weapon against GAZA.
