Very good job explaining as you go these are fun saws to build and fairly inexpensive personally I like the highway Titan nickel 346xp cylinder she flows fairly decent right out of the box but with a little bit of die grinder work it wakes right up I put an iron horse pipe that I built on a 353 highway Titan nickel big bore cylinder with a pop-up piston after rejetting the carburetor she is very very impressive.I realize this one was for a someone else so keeping the cost down is also part of the game. I am currently working on a 2150 jonsered parts box saw probably going to do the same thing to it for myself this time.
If they were stihl bolts i wouldn't use it. Its not a (permanent) loctite like the red. They'll come back out. Bout like taking an old poulan apart lol. They liked the loctite. Elbow grease. Never had any issues myself either but i try n avoid any possible.
This white stuff definitely isn't permanent. I bought it for mufflers but these saws still shake em loose sometimes. On the 345..350's etc anyhow. The 4mm is the answer tho. Haha 👍
Nice to meet you. The Hyway Titanikel cylinders seem to be outstandingly durable. How is your experience with them? I just bought a brand new Husqvarna 353 and replaced the cylinder piston with an external one. I didn't know about the Hyway Titanikel cylinders, so I ended up buying the Nikasil cylinders from METEOR, which also seem to be quite high performance.
Yeah meteor is good quality. Ive only used one titanikel kit, it was for a ms360. I was really impressed with the quality. As far as i know the guy hasn't had any problems with it.
We used the Warhawk 44.3mm kit in this one. I've used it before with excellent outcome for a cheap kit. I like to re crosshatch them with a ball hone, that's the only place their lacking with this kit imo. I have video of this saw cutting somewhere in my videos if you wanna see how it performs
I got mine in the post from USA, I'm in uk runs ok stock squish is about 46 with base gasket so I'm going to deck that , what else did you do widen exhaust and lower transfers ?

Amazing Jeremy! Second pull! Can't wait to put it in some wood!
Yea i just rolled it over slow a couple times then she fired first pull actually. Feeding fuel good. These ones are always a fun build. Thanks man 👍
Never had an issue with screws backing out without Loctite. How will you remove those cylinder bolts if need be?

So bisydes the top end the rest, is from the 353 model ?
Correct. Husqvarna 353 with a 346xp top end.
What was that white grease you put on? Some kind of gasket maker?
The stuff I put on the cylinder is threebond 1184 gasket sealer. It's good stuff
Is that an oem cylinder and piston my 353 top end is gone (plastic intake boot clamp) wondering what kit to put on.

@@jeremythomas9134 Thanks for that, I will check it out
Wow its a ripper, those warhark kits are one or the only am kits that have the 44.3 piston like oem 346xp that's maybe why it's so good .
@@williamevans6554 thanks man. That particular kit is a good one imo. I bought 4 or 5 of them I stocked up on a few I got on sale

How do I install the c rings on the piston
isnt 535 popular? i own a 346xpg. but someone wants to sell me a 353.
They are yes. I've never played with the 353 cylinders yet but I've seen some strong ones. They can run with a 346 with some work
Intake are junk
For saws, buy ngk plugs bpmr7a is the number they are really good quality and last a long time
@quadvloggs6876 bro im a saw mechanic I'm aware of that
