Nice to see you doing the edges with shears. Always use do it that way myself and only strim around trees and rough areas. I normally do garden maintenance for my clients with the odd hedge and lawn thrown in and you're videos are always good to see and learn new things.
Nothing wrong with 'old school'. Nice sharp, blade against blade sounds better than any strimmer! I usually edge by hand rather than machine. Nice work as always!
@@uklawncare8505 Loved watching as always thank you. Still lots to do down this way, the rain I kept hoping for during the summer mostly decided to come at once! So, hoping things won't go dormant just yet!
Another great video as always, keep up the amazing work, and I recently got myself a 2020 Hayter 48Pro and I couldn’t recommend it enough, full bag every time and leaves some incredible stripes, but I hope u can get the mower situation sorted 👍
Really informative videos. What reliable, good value power tools would you recommend to invest in for someone looking to start in the business, in particular which lawn mower, and hedge trimmer? For an especially overgrown lawn, would you tackle it with a bushcutter or could your Honda or another lawn mower handle it?
Hi just come across your channel 👍 . I'm starting my own part time business cutting lawns etc .. bought myself a cobra electric start with roller 18inch got strimmer and hedge cutter .. I was gunner buy another small lawn mower say 39 cm to use on more smaller awkward gardens that dont have much space if u get me like when the lawns go up against the house or porch .. can I ask am i wasting money and just use strimmer in awkward spots then use my big mower to get as close as can
Stick with Honda mowers mate.I worked for a large commercial Landscaping company. We had hundreds of site to manage. The Honda mowers were the toughest mowers and most reliable. Iv got Hrx537 and hrd536.They are both very reliable.Good luck mate. Thanks Alex😎👍
always edging shears mate. I only strim around trees & anywhere the mower cant get in. its my pet hate seeing gardeners strimming vertical edges lol. stay safe
Yeah absolutely, I’ve got no complaints about my 41, I’ll have a look at a few different mowers in the spring and see what offers my local dealers are offering, Thanks for watching mate
the honda 19 inch mowers feel to light and had problems with the drive systems on them used to use hayters when they had bottom plate frive they were the better ones
replace the belt that drives the gears on your honda. my belts get loose every few months that drive the gears. you also may need to adjust the spindle to make the belt tighter....this will save you lots of money.
My Honda is pretty old now, had it nearly 6 years and has a few extra problems to sort out. Might be time to invest in something new. Thanks for watching
😀 Another great video chap. Have fun with the mower shopping 👍

Great video. Love hayter machines. In the height of summer nothing leaves a cut like them.
Great tidy job mate, took some real care on that, nice to see someone using edging shears too!
nice to see someone still using edging sheers
I’ll probably always have a pair of shears in the van. Hope all is well with you Reas.
Thanks for watching
Agreed with this, I still do it as I do think it gives a better overall finish, I admit sometimes I don't always have the time to do it at every job.
Love your work mate! You've convinced me to get some of those edging sheers. Can't say I've seen them used down my way! - Sean

Another great video, I did my last mowing jobs last week.
Great video as always mate, I agree, we had a really good summer, good luck on the mower hunt.

Thanks for watching Jason, knowing me I’ll still be on a new mower hunt in August next year. Hope all is well with you and the family.
The Skyrim music makes these videos 10x better
Your lawn looks great! what cultivar is that?

There’s a strong chance I’ll be sticking with the Hondas, they’ve never let me down.
Thanks for watching
Tools:
Stihl fs 70 rc
Hayter 41 pro
You were right in one of your last video’s the hayter defiantly sounds like its got a little bit of rod nock
Is the gearbox on 41 leaking? If not then it’s the issue I mentioned before which is a straight forward repair and cost a LOT less than a new mower 👌🏻
Time for a change I think, fancy something a bit bigger, thanks for watching Greg
probably one mow left here, cold very early this year
I’ll mostly be mowing up leaves for the next month I reckon, grass has slowed up pretty quickly in my area. Thanks for watching mate hope all is well
@@uklawncare8505 you have been pretty quiet this year on TH-cam
Premier Lawns I’ve honestly really struggled to find time to do videos this year, family life has been hectic and TH-cam has had to take a back seat.
@@uklawncare8505 With the lockdown, I have gone the other way. Spend my life on here ffs
do you find that the strimmer cord keeps breaking? How do you pick up the clippings from the edging? Great video thanks!
I know (the lawn guy) Dave uses stihl and he loves them and stihl have quality products

Not sure at the moment but probably a new Honda if the price is right. Thanks for watching
