I left a Teen Challenge rehab around 1980. I have never wanted even a cigarette since. It's just great to have a warm place to live with food and a bathroom. Addiction takes people to places they want to go, even living on the streets at times. Thank God for deliverance, amen.

How do you let him know that without putting a potential jinx in him / you know like putting a highlight on success can also seem like pointing out how much of a loser he use to be , has he accomplished more with his life than juts that now ans is able to fully enjoy moments of noticing and acknowledging him and giving that love and respect with no worry of him taking it wrong like a alcoholic and sabotage himself.
      Any tips… or advice… ?

NIACIN THE REAL STORY is a book I recently purchased on audible simply wanting to learn about B vitamins. What I found reading/listening to this book is that niacin was used in the 1940s for alcoholics, in mental institutions and for anxiety and depression. If used in high doses, patients actually stopped craving alcohol and fully recovered. Patients walked out of mental institutions after weeks of niacin. This information of course has been suppressed. The guy who formed AA struggled for many years after giving up alcohol. He had severe depression, migraines, anxiety. He was willing to meet the doctor who was promoting niacin and sure enough after several weeks, the founder of AA was " cured". He no longer struggled and began implementing niacin and saw patients recover. Of course the government shut this down and that was the end of that. So sad that there is actual help yet it's being suppressed. Check out the book! Very fascinating and niacin is so inexpensive. I take 500 to 1,000 MG a day for circulation. Even though I don't drink or have that addiction I still wanted to share

Thanks to Claudia, I'm day 4 on TSM. Still taking only 25 mg, and yet it makes me wanna throw up as the medicine kicks in. Guessing it is just a starter side effect. Does anyone experience that?

No wonder 'they' are reticent in advertising a drug which gets rid of cravings. Until this program I don't recall this drug mentioned - I've heard of drugs which make you sick when drinking but not drugs which curb the cravings of alcohol...

I purchased a cheap alcohol breath monitor so I wouldn't be drunk when I drove. On my last episode I drank so much that I was 11 times over the legal drinking limit and could still walk but I would be dead in a month if I didn't stop. It took 9 days of hell for that monitor to read 0 parts alcohol in my blood. Totally freaking scary. A strange thing happened as well. If I consume any amount of alcohol now I'm very sick within 3 minutes. My last drink was 3 years ago. There is no question that genetics plays a big part.

I like looking at astrology and I am an alcoholic. I like to look up people's astrology whenever they have an addiction especially alcoholism and violence. I like to see if these people have similar alignments to my chart. I have a moon in aquarius. I just looked at Claudia's and she has an aquarius moon and so does marylin monroe. I wonder if they both struggled with their mothers as well. Wow,,, I need to try this. Thank you. Great information.

I wholeheartedly believe a person who is an alcoholic has deep rooted pain that is masked by drinking to "temporarily" to forget. It needs deliverance from our Creator to reset the body and mind, and to forgive yourself and others who caused the pain. It has to be our choice to acknowledge the pain and choose to do something about it, but without Jesus, it's calling yourself an ALCOHOLIC. Once you're delivered, you're no longer an alcoholic, but a delivered person made whole by our Creator. Same with drugs or any other addiction, food, porno, sex, etc.
    That's it that's all! Blessings

Years sober from all drugs, medications, and alcohol for 6 years with few receives, lockups, and my biggest addiction is like pretty much everyone else how? It's legal, I am on maintenance and have Buprenofrine every day, I know people that had quit heroin, But I don't know anybody that quit Buprenofrine...I am gonna be the first man to know to do it

@flow ....Same.. I am actually wondering if in this video if she is talking about bupe. She said naltrexone. Naltrexone is inside suboxone.. it’s the half that makes you sick if you ingest drugs. But the bupe part actually gives you a euphoria feeling. I’m on it myself and have been for 3 years. I find it harder to kick then opiates... if she is referring to suboxone, I don’t think it’s a good idea. It’s trading one drug for another. But I haven’t finished the video and so far she is talking about taking the naltrexone before you drink. I don’t get it. But I do wish you the best of luck & im struggling with ya

The video title is misleading. This is a video about one method of overcoming alcohol addiction, not “the way” to overcome it as there is no one way. The Sinclair Method will not work for everyone. I’ve been in the depths of my AUD pit looking for answers and have seen videos titled like this only to watch them and feel mislead.
