The pekapeka I got in a infinite discs mystery box a buddy got me for Xmas… and it isn’t working for me though I love the plastic… really wanna try the takapu and the pewakawaka now though I’ve seen baysinger do some great shots with the latter….
Randomly picked up a Pekapeka from the used shelf thinking it would be super flippy. Like you said, it's not, but I still love it, backhand and especially for forehands. The thing bombs and now I'm interested in checking out more RPM stuff. Good video!
@@DaddyDelpDiscGolf I believe it's atomic & max weight. It's starting to get more turn as I beat it in. Mine has some flashing around the outer edge (parting line). Is that common with this disc?
I’ve had one or 2 with it but not sure common from what I experienced. I was going to say the glow plastic tends to be more overstable. But not beefy. Just more of a straight flyer and all. One thing to know is the batch number in the back of the one you have would let you know that if you get another from same batch then you’ll more than likely get the same type of stability out of it
I love the look of RPMs discs and the plastic looks great. My bag is mostly MVP and co. but I’m tempted to grab a Pekapeka! I have so many 9 speeds fighting for a spot in my bag right now, so why not throw another into the mix?! I think the Peka could fill my Mantra/Virus 9 speed slot. Would you say it’s a tad more stable than them? I occasionally turn those over when I’m not intending too and the Pekapeka seems like it might be more consistent for hyzer flip straight shots.
- Kahu OS (Cosmic). If you ever find those Tilt Stable runs 🔥 - Kotare (Cosmic) - Kiwi (Cosmic) - Kea (Cosmic/Magma) - Ruru (all plastics, but their flagship putter) The normal Kahu would almost make the list. But the runs I have are all over the place. I love the Kahu OS 🔥
@Daddy Delp Disc Golf I've got a signature XG Atomic Kahu and I love it, into the wind I rip it on a hyzer and it flips up and glides nicely before slight fade
Love this idea for a video! I thought you were gonna go Kahu for thr last because you already had an OS mid on the list. Remind me to let you throw my beat in Magma Soft Kotuku Sat!
Haha I had the kahu completely in mind then I was picking them up and remembered that I generally don’t recommend high speed drivers to everyone and figured a low speed utility disc would be more applicable and fly like a kahu would for a beginner and went that way lol. If it wasn’t for that then I may have picked kahu lol
I mean maybe. But it’s really i between a p2 and a pure in depth. It may be similar to a beadless aviar in feel over a pure. Pure is for sure shallower
Piwakawaka and tui have been staples in my bag for YEARS. The old platinum ones are absolute money
I love the piwak! And also love the pekapeka. Great discs
Glad Kea made the list… I have one of them and they are amazing

That’s how it goes with discs. Sometimes they work for some people and some it doesn’t. But piwak and takapu are worth giving a shot gif sure!
Loved this video so much. Speak the truth! Pronounce kotoku how you want lol I prefer to call it my go-to-ku ;)
Haha I like go-to-ku

What plastic did you get just out of curiosity??

Let’s see, I haven’t thrown the mantra or virus before. What do those fly like? Is a virus more overstable than an insanity?

I haven’t gotten to throw any of the special kahu yet like the OS or XG. Looking to try some out!

When’s your ITB coming out?
Probably very soon!
So would the Takapu be like a slightly more stable Pure?
