A chat with a former miner from Parkside Colliery

Today, I have the privilege of conducting a brief interview with one of the miners who worked in the depths of this mine. Through this conversation, we will gain insight into the daily lives of these hardworking individuals who risked their lives each day in our coal mines. Regrettably, my time with the miner was limited due to his health condition, and I am aware that this topic is sensitive for some viewers.
Parkside Colliery was a coal mine located in Newton-le-Willows St Helens, Parkside was in operation from 1974 until its closure in 1993. Parkside Colliery was the most modern and safest coal Pitt to be built in the Lancashire Coalfield.
