Hi Leo, love your garden and wanting to do my own zen garden. Do you get alot of weeds in your gravel? I was considering either compacted gravel or weed mat under the stones.

Thank you! Usually, in Japanese garden, the thickness of the gravel lever is around 20cm, that can prevent the weed very well with the weed mat. But, if your garden was shallow, then it still needs the weed mat. And remove the weeds as your monthly work for sure. Even in Japan, they need remove the weed in garden as the routine work.

謝謝觀看。亞洲多數地區都不那麼乾旱，如果潮濕地區對於苔藓沒問題吧。試試看，半陰半陽光，保持潮濕。不是細沙，選小顆粒沙石。
