  • Im out in the garden planting up some Denim ’n Lace Russian Sage by Proven Winners that we were recently given as door prizes at the Grand Garden Show. This is a super tough plant that will take full sun with minimal care. It prefers a drier soil and less fuss so it’s a perfect plant for the garden. Today I am planing these about 30 inches apart so they grow together and I just can’t wait to see them sway in the breeze.

    I planted some lavender this year and I love it. It looks a lot like your sage but smaller. Is that the kind of sage you use as a spice?

      Love lavender, we have a munstead variety that does so well. I assume you could dry this sage but not really sure. Thanks for watching and subscribing!!

    I love Russian Sage and yes I have killed a couple lol. Can BioTone be used around the plants after they are planted or is it only for putting in the hole when you first plant? Thanks...

      It can be but I only use it when planting to get those roots going. Then I use plant or flower tone in the spring and fall for yearly feedings.

      @@the-handy-fixer Great video! When using Plant or Flower Tone how do you apply it? Tea, over top of soil, work it into soil or any other way?

    • @the-handy-fixer
      @the-handy-fixer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adriankap2978 just around the drip line of the plant and just scratch it into the soil with your hand.

    How you like that type of shovel compared to a standard shovel? I am in the market for a new one and one I am eyeballing a similar style like the one you are using.

      Hi Randy. I prefer the narrow blade and short handle. For me personally it is far more effective. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

    How long does it take for them to grow to their full potential?
