you're a literal blessing to TH-cam and people who want to get into graphic designing and editing. I feel like Photoshop learning will never die down and the number of people reaching out to your content will never cease to grow over the years. Thanks a bunch
I learned Photoshop over 20 years ago, but took this course to familiarize myself with the newer version. I'm only two days in and absolutely loving it. Thank you to everyone at PHLEARN for this amazing content.
One of my favorite tips, in regards to zooming into the image, is that you can set your preferences to use the mouse scroll wheel for zooming instead of relying on keyboard shortcuts. Definitely bumps up your editing speed/efficiency Just go to the edit -> preferences -> general (shortcut: Ctrl+K) -> Tools -> check the box for 'zoom with Scroll Wheel'
Yeah I agree, I'm used to this with another program I used to use, and it's just so much faster. I do wish I could use the middle wheel button to pan, but holding space bar isn't a big deal.
I've been following your channel for about a year and enjoy your straightforward approach without all the "whattups peeps" and so forth. I've used PS for 19 months and have so much to learn. In lesson one, I learned something I had been wondering about for a while! Wow....28 more days to go! Thank you so much!!!
I can't believe this series is free! I thought I knew a fair amount about Photoshop, but even on day two I'm astounded at how much I didn't know or was doing incorrectly. Thank you SO much for this program!
TO ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE SAVING THEIR PHOTO AS A JPEG HERE IS THE SOLUTION: step 1: at the top of your screen click on “Layers” and go to the very bottom. There you should see an option that says “Flatten Image”. Step 2: at the top of your screen click on “File” and then click on the option that says “Save as”. You should then finally see an option that allows you to save in other formats as well as JPEG. I hope this helped someone
I have absolutely hated the thought of using photoshop. But as an artist it keeps popping up. Ive taken Photoshop classes only to feel even more confused than before. I was so glad I found this youtube channel and this 30 day challenge!! Just on day 2 I feel more at ease and very comfortable with the software. Aaron you absolutely nail it! Your explanations are so simple, clear, precise, well put and it's easy to see everything you are doing and to keep up. Thank you thank you thank you for this!! I never thought I'd say this but after starting this 30 day challenge I'm actually excited to do each daily challenge and actually use photoshop! So thanks again!
I have wanted to learn photoshop for about 15 years now, but every time I downloaded it, it seemed so daunting. These videos are so well explained and easy to digest! I can't thank you enough @PHLEARN!
I always thought photoshop isn't my cup of tea. BUT YOU PROVED ME WRONG.. I FOLLOWED ALL ALONG AND DID EVERYTHING THAT YOU SHOWED. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! the marathon starts today and hopefully I will be able to do the editing all by myself without depending on anyone thank you so much I cannot thank you enough...
I enjoy your calm, positive energy. Thank you for this series. I do wish it had been available when I was first getting started with PS. I always come away with a new tip or technique from your videos.
Photoshop has always been a mystery to me. Aaron's instructions and presentation are superb. After just 2 days, I already know more than I did after struggling for a loonnggg time. Thanks Aaron. Great program. Looking forward to completing the entire series....!
These guys are just simply awesome. What a natural instructor he is! Easy to follow along. I hope we cover more of the options that get selected at the top of each tools later (like the 5x5 sample size for magic wand)
I had trouble with the Selection range step but it was addressed by making sure that the Selection Preview is set to Grayscale the same way in his settings. Excellent Tutorial!
Freaking love how your videos are easy and straight forward. Best way to learn about photoshop. I have no background in editing so your videos have helped me a lot. Can’t wait for the rest of these tutorials 🙌🏼
I've been using Photoshop for a few years (nothing too crazy, basic image editing) and this has already taught me so much! Thank you so much for offering this great content for free!
i have watched day-1 and day-2 videos only and day-2 video took me diving into Photoshop like I am completely watched 30days course. it is amazing and the instructor is well prepared and excellent.
I'm so glad I found this channel. Thank you for doing this series. I'm am amateur photographer who's brand spanking new to Photoshop and this is beyond helpful. Thank you so much for doing this, Aaron!
This is a wonderful system of learning Photoshop. I have learnt so many techniques in photoshop but always I forget. This is a step by step learning. I love that. Cheers Aron!
These are GREAT, Aron. What a new year’s gift. I’ve been using PS for a few months and have learned so much, both from other courses and trail & error. It’s fantastic though having this whole series available now, both to reinforce what I’ve learned and to fill in the (no doubt gaping) holes in my PS knowledge base. THANK YOU.
Great episode as always and selecting that tree with color range and making it a transparent one was like magic to me as someone who is new to photo editing...Ps is great and so are you sir!
Brilliant ! Even though I know (so far) what you are covering, its a good review. This replaced my news and coffee when I start my day. Great concept on the 30 days of Ps !
I started this course from the beginning, although I consider myself somewhat of an advanced user. I am shocked how many things I actually learned on the second video.
One word Fascinating. Love the way you teach Photoshop. This tool had been on my bucket list for 10 years now and it is only today that I started learning it finally as part of my New Year resolution. I'm loving it.
hooooooooh after long time i find a video that really helps me. Literally i thought that may be i cant do that without a offline trainer. Now i think i can. Thank you so much. I did all the things almost correctly that you showed.
At 6:15 you might have mentioned to make sure mode is set to normal. Mine was set to darken and had no effect. At 9:02 you say to hit w for the magic wand tool. Please remember that at least some of us are new to Ps. Hitting w brought up object selection for me. Maybe mention to be sure to select the magic wand. And it would have taken you two seconds to save some of us a lot of grief to remind us to check the Sample All Layers box. Remember, some of us are in Ps for the first time, so things like this -- trivial to you but major to us -- are extremely frustrating. At 9:12 my tolerance was at 32 and the sky selected perfectly. I'm starting to see too many assumptions on your part. At 17:11 yet again YMMV. Mine looks nothing like yours. I still have my image, not a B&W negative, so now I must stop and search for whatever is wrong this time. Aha! Changed it to Grayscale. Couldn't you mention these things? All in all, this is a good tutorial, but I don't know if I'll make it 30 days with such needless frustrations. You're a very good teacher, so please try not to forget these little things.
There was so much in this video! Even if the main point was opening and saving projects, you covered some other things, making them seem simple. Great video again, sorry I am behind, and definitely up for the rest of them.
It is so funny that I have to return to the videos and then check the settings ... otherwise I have a different thing :j Thank you very much for the series ! Soooooo helpful !
thank god he said we'll be covering all that stuff he did because I got lost!! I know how to save edit and open, which is most important for this video! thank you
great video as always, hope you have a good xmas. recently watched the vids with your mum in, really enjoyed them. its great that you do so many videos for free and thats why i let most of the ads play through . thanks again Aron
another great video, so glad I found these. You are a really good couch as well. everything is explained extremely clearly. I cannot wait to have finished the full 30 days
Thanks Arron what a great tutorial series. This surely must be worth big dollars to all of us learning. You guys are great and so generous with your time and training. I had an issue with the Healing brush it just went crazy so I used the quick selection tool. It all worked out okay, I am using windows 10 latest.
Aaron: Thanks much for publishing the 30 days of Photoshop. As a casual user of Photoshop (and Lightroom) this series of training videos really help pull everything together. I do have a question concerning saving a file with layers. You said that the file should be saved as either a .PSD or .TIF format, and that you would recommend .PSD. What about .DNG (Digital Negative format)? I thought that Adobe was promoting the use of .DNG. Thank you again for these excellent training videos. You set the standard for Photoshop/Lightroom training on TH-cam and the Internet.
Great video!!! I enjoy the way you clearly explain every move step by step. I've always struggled with PS and I'm excited for the next 28 days. THANK YOU
Love your videos. Thank you for sharing with us all these knowledge. You explaining everything in such a calm way ,easy to understand and follow. Thank you ,thank you, thank you.
If you have trouble with the magic wand tool and selecting the sky, turn on the sample all layers at the top of the screen.
Thank you!
This is the most clutch comment so far. Thank you!
Thanks a lot!
you are a hero
Thank you so much- saved me so much time
look at us people learning a new skill, let's all do our best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't understand how people dislike this kind of a great tutorial. Thank you for the best photoshop tutorial in the world ❤️❤️

It's always interesting to see other people's workflow in PS. I've done all of this a thousand times and I still learned a lot.
Witch version is this?
@@salasa9176 I'm on PS 2020.
@@salasa9176 It really doesn't matter, this is "standard theory".

Excellent teaching style. Like that you repeat yourself with salient points.
