    What a dramatic ending!! I want to see more, can’t wait until the next episode 😨
    LOL, she’s so enthusiastic @19:30 😂😂 lots of stuff looks easy on TV
    I swapped out a clutch before on a RX7 but that was only because I had easy access since I had the engine out of the car and did the work while I was swapping

    Good stuff, I used to lay in line with the engine with the trans next to me then roll it onto my chest and bench it into place. Once i got the shaft in, it was just a matter of twisting it side to side to line up the splines. This was on humvees though so there was more space.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the lack of space makes it a lot harder. Plus, it's really hard to get leverage when you are laying on your back.

    Power lifting a transmission is never fun, possible but sucks big time. Kudos to you guys for making the attempt. Like someone else here said, slide transmission on top of transmission jack after Jack is under the car. Also a regular jack woulda helped as well

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Facts. We'll tell ya how we did it in the next video.

  • @JC-hx6md
    @JC-hx6md 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    ...wait what!? I had to wait all day until I finally had downtime to see the vid and you guys leave XDD nation hanging, it was like a "to be continued" ending to a sick movie, what gives! Just kidding guys, trans work always sucks, you guys lifting it this way reminded me of one of the many times my old man and I had to do this. Funny that my girl brought us water one of the times we had the transmission in the air trying to align it and she said she didn't understand why I was saying so many "expletives". Part 2 will definitely be epic, listen to the guys at Napp and you'll get it done, XDD always finds a way to get it done!

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were a lot of "expletives" said off camera. Believe me. I was ready to tow it to our friends place and just pay him to do it. 🤬 Thanks for watching, JC!!

    To be completely honest while I was watching you trying to put that transmission in it made me feel so useless I wanted to help but I couldn't I hope all is well and I hope you were able to get the transmission in can't wait for the next video

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't worry, I felt useless too. I felt like all I was doing was slamming it against the clutch.

    lol, try using a regular jack for the back flat area, and push up the front, then align, and Push In!

    If you ever have to do this again, put the clutch on the alignment tool first. It will hold it in place while you put the pressure plate over it. No need to risk dropping everything on yourself.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers

      You are so smart. That would have been a ton easier. Thank you.

    Washed and detailed 2005 xB, now airbag light on. Checked all clips under seats, no luck, light still on. Ideas?

    Also, you had room to put the transmission on the Jack. All you had to do was put the transmission under the car, and then lift it up into the tunnel enough to slide the jack under it.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were able to make it happen. Check out next week's video to find out how!

  • @baeipperle

    What a cliff hanger! What if you lift the transmission up in the general spot and then roll the jack under it?
