Please Help! I installed aokp rom on my sch-i500 mesmerize and it worked fine, but I didn't have google apps, so I tried installing "gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip" and it didn't do anything, so I tried installing an original rom, then installed aokp again and then gapps right after but it wont let me past "devil touch recovery" screen, please tell me what I did wrong?
PhoneBuff i did smth that i dont think i was supposed to do...i wanted to intall a wireless update on my Leagoo Lead 5.it was goin well when,when it was installing it,i said that somth was incorect i dont remember.and it sayd error,i didnt know what i should do,and i pulled the battery off,i think that messed my phone up...now when i hit the power button.it says Leagoo.not showing the "loading screen" just the logo.and it puts me in the recovery mode.what do i do in this case? ;/ PLS some1 help me

Is it necessary to root your phone for doing custom rom flash?
Akash Saha you don’t necessarily have to root your phone but you do have to unlock boot loader it’s easier to just root because otherwise it’s too complicated

I soft bricked this old Samsung GT-N7000 by wrongly editing the "Build.prop" Android version number.
It is now stuck at the Samsung Logo when it boots.
How do I access it to re-edit the Build.prop ?
Earlier, I tried using Odin to flash the stock ROM, but it crashed my computer into a blue screen.
I think I don't really need to flash it, just re-edit the Build.prop file.

you know i heard a phone is never really bricked you can all ways restore it in most cases or just download the firmware again

Congrats! You bricked your phone *salt* for every model you should follow it's own guide even for rom flashing.

+Siam Alam wait, if all data on the android will be erased that includes the rom on the sd card, right? so basically, right after factory resetting you did the adapter thing to your sd card and paused the video to plug the adapter in your computer and download the rom then put it back in.... you should have mentioned that....
