I've been privileged to see Ronnie twice-it just amazes me he gets all this sound and tone and does it with no pedals--a true master of technique similar in that respect to Roy Buchanan
Ronnie is as good as Stevie ...his tone is pure & clean...those guys mentioned are all amazin tho...Johnny A is masterful ...not everone can survive on blues ...Ronnie is the man-u r right on there son!
Thank you so much ! it 's nice to hear what you think , all these assholes on magazine covers and then you hear this and you say what the fuck ! why don't ever hear about these guys, like Ronnie Earl etc etc
I think Ronnie would say that there is room for everyone. Just enjoy him without putting others down. That's not what Ronnie is about. But I hear your frustration, its well intentioned. If you love Ronnie and you haven't already have a listen to old Otis Rush as well as guys liek Magic Sam. Peace.
Super Reverb sometimes 2 and he runs them loud but playS with dynamics also no pedals. I have fortunate enough to have played with Ronnie many times and even with back line amps he sounds like Ronnie.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Earl wasn't even playing when SRV was making his mark in the early 1970's! Then in 1983 it was SRV that put Blues back on the map with his Texas Flood record! Almost every blues great say's it was SRV revitalizing the Blues! There'd be no Ronnie Earl if it hadn't been for SRV! What a jackass comment, MORON!!
Oh to be out there in the crowd on that day. Ronnie was playing with that fire inside back then.
Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters at their finest; it doesn't get any better than this!
Ronnie number one!!!
Great Ronnie!!

Maaan, Ronnie on the top of his game.

Great sound!
Do anybody knows what amp and effects use this man?
I believe he plugs straight into amp.. it’s a pure strat sound

@Bluesbarri You spelled it wrong... it's Joe Shitamassa
Ronnie did it way before Srv thats for sure. He's Muddy Waters favourite son

Sounds a lot like SRV. I prefer a slower method to the Blues.
