they changed it into action/shooter game... ammo you will find for sure... you don't need to save up like in the past games. Every ammo counted and the great music that gave atmosphere... all gone. They did it in remake of RE1 on Gamecube... the scary mansion music was all gone.. only thunder and sound effects were there... complete silence. Only some places had themes, but not a big impact as the original
I'm going to say "money" is the issue for most causes nowadays. Everyone thinks money money money without really pushing what really made a game great. Atmosphere , setting, and a very well thought out gameplay. Now it's about make it half good - make money - sell the other half on dlc add ons. Pay more for exclusive material.. shit that should've been in the game in the first place.
Attention to detail is amazing. How valuable things were back in ps1 days. No updates no downloads. Just a CD and let's play!. This safe room just puts me in complete reminisce of my childhood.
im going through a lotta shit in life right now so, and as im sure youre all aware, this song PERFECTLY captures the bittersweet feeling of having a safe space to hide out in and be away from the bad, fully aware and anxious of the fact that you will inevitably soon step back out into the madness. you never know how long youre gonna be out there, so you relish every second that youre safe, the fear and knowing of whats yet to come gnawing away at you the whole time. god, its amazing how science, psychology and music all go hand in hand
I find most of the RE save room songs very relaxing and listen to it to unwind... however I could not fall asleep to this song. It sounds way more ominous and I would be afraid that Nemesis would just bust right in. STARSSSSS.

The original trilogy as well as code Veronica, remake, zero and outbreak really had a way of getting you hooked and making you feel like you were apart of it. It's sad that the later entries stopped making you feel so part of the story. Ever since 4 I never really liked the series after that. 2 remake was an exception but that's it.
Resident evil 4 is when the downfall started ,yes it was a good game however the mechanics and just everything changed with it, I really miss the eerie lonely feeling you would get from trying to explore the grounds wherever and whenever you pleased, the locked doors would make sure you risk life and limb while exploring the well articulated maps, miss the intricate puzzles ,miss the perfectly timed perfectly placed jump scares, I'm with ya man, what happened....
I feel like my heart just broke right now, I miss those years after this game show up in 98 or 97 untill 2006 everyone that I know talked about this game to 2006 then nobody minchen it to me, from that year every month I remember those feeling of horror and interesting and save all of that shared feelings between me and my siblings was so amazing when u feel afraid and knows ur not alone
this song alone is better than all movies of resident evil together, i would like to ask to you make one of resident evil 2, in my opinion the better soundtrack of the serie.

Jeez, this music doesn't feel very safe! I have never played RE3. I thought the Nemesis was a bit of a gimmick and the game never appealed to me but lately since seeing the the re release of the original I wouldn't mind playing it because it was the only survival horror RE that I never played before it became action.
I too wonder how I would feel if I played the game now, though I probably wouldn't feel the "magic" as much as first time players because I've already seen lots of videos and spoilers and I practically know what happens in the story, so it probably won't have that much of an effect on me as it did on the >ahem< (please, forgive me) oldshool fellahs. I'd still loved to play the game, though. Theres something about these old games with limited movement that really attracts me, I don't know what it is. But I really would like to play it, even though I have no idea how I would do that.

I didn't buy because the book was HUGE and it was really expensive but it got me thinking that I'd love a book based on the first 3d consoles. There literally are too many games from that time that I would love to go back and replay or play.
