He's just a flawed person like most of us...I think what i noticed, which also might address your observation, is that he tends to lean in the direction of the guest more so whenever he is conducting a podcast. Like for example, if he had someone that was a republican, he would talk about how much he cherishes the positive conservative values and would also highlight the hypocrisy of democratic representatives in their war mongering and speech money collecting; and if he were speaking to a democrat, he would be talking about how crazy some of the republican representatives are and how he leans more towards a social democratic solution (health care, education, etc.). When he does that, he may come across as hypocritical to some people, even if that was not the case.
@Ryan Marvin 'The left cant handle jokes'...? The overwhelming majority of the worlds best comedians thru history are Left leaning (Im not saying ALL comedians, but most of the notable best)... And the Conservative right leaning people have been, throughout history, more about censorship and being offended and shutting down tv shows etc etc bcos of their content, you remember, right? Sure, theres an extreme left at the moment pushing that 'Political correctness' gone mad and it seems like a big problem, when it really isnt and is made into a big deal by idiots... But the right has ALWAYS been there pushing their agenda and if anyone speaks out against it (eg. religion) then they are shut down (or at least they try). I believe MOST people arent left or right, but somewhere in the middle, but all the loud voices from extremes of both sides get the light shone on them cos they make the most noise, even if they are the minority. Plus, its kinda hard NOT to get triggered by someone who lies so consistantly and says the really stupid things that trump says... There’s something genuinely wrong with someone who doesn’t laugh or find humour in themselves, or get enjoyment from music. Comedy and music are two things most people can connect with.

There was no indication of anything about what they actually did.
Yes, I suppose he kind of is. The average human is so wildly dull and ignorant, when the topic of an eccentric and intelligent person comes up, they usually are talked about as if they are from another planet. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing. In the case of celebrities, it's all in how the media have conditioned normals to feels about these types (to love or hate them). Trump used to be loved before the media conditioned people to hate him. If this were not true, he wouldn't have been mentioned in damn near every TV show during the late 80s and 90s in a positive manner, nor would have millions of people watched his show every week for years. There’s something genuinely wrong with someone who doesn’t laugh or find humour in themselves, or get enjoyment from music. Comedy and music are two things most people can connect with.
Some people just don't really care about music.
@@Grimpmann perhaps but most people are moved by a certain piece of music whether it’s happiness at a catchy tune or gee-ed up at heavy metal or the emotional response some get from certain classical pieces (mine is Chopin’s nocturne Opus 9 no.2, it’s so hauntingly beautiful). Most people hum or whistle or sing along with the radio because it’s something inbuilt in us. I’m forever going “do-do-do-do-do dee-der-dee-der-dee” or some similar silly tune while I get ready for work or am doing a mindless task and apparently so did my grandfather.

I watched most of The Apprentice (both versions). Regarding music: He did a charity event that included Barenaked Ladies. The way he talked about them was as if they were the greatest, but in a hierarchical sense. He spoke about them as if he were interested in their rank, like that’s how he figured out their value. There was no indication of anything about what they actually did.
He probably also booked that musical act expecting something else based on their name.
Guess what? Four years later and believe it or not, he's much worse!
It's like they're talking about an alien...
Aren't they tho? Lol
The demonization of Trump is one of the most fascinating things I've ever observed in my life.
@@Arctic_Falcon Trump had been despised in New York City, his hometown, forever. He is considered a joke there. Of course the media has always liked him because he behaves so obnoxiously that it's good for ratings. Those ratings got him elected, along with the biased Electoral College.

One of my best friends in the world is an atheist, and we've had some very in-depth conversations about religion in general. It's never become hostile, or even heated. Jamaican Warren Buffett Yeah he likes odd people hence Trump. He said what he was like and it wasn’t flattering yet he finds these types of people intriguing.
It’s possible to appreciate things without attaching a moral judgment to them. A terrible dictator, a kind philanthropist, a basketball player, a chess wizard and a raging lunatic can all be appreciated for being to unapologetically themselves. You can also deem their actions and by extension the person themselves to be “good” or “bad”, but that part can be separate.
Saying some one is interesting or intriguing does not have to be a compliment you know. Many find Hitler and Nazi Germany an interesting topic, just look how many thousands of documentaries and books there are on the subject. Pen Gillette, " I have a tremendous respect for people who get out of their filters ... Ect" what an amazing perspective from a man who walks what he talks
Well for some people, they figured out a long time ago there's no real consequences to having no self control. The rest of us serfs on the other hand...
Correct Equipment6 Self control and breaking filters are two completely different things
@@carsonaswell2809 They go hand in hand. Having a filter requires self control and being aware of the context, like where you are and who your audience is. If you have no self control, you'll have no filter, and when you're protected by money and power and whatever else, you've no need for self control so likely never developed it or a filter in the first place.
You can still have self control while also speaking and acting without a filter, and can even be dangerous for doing so if you don't have the same kinds of protection from consequences, depending on what you're saying and doing. That to me would garner more respect compared to someone that has no fear of consequences simply because they've gotten used to never having to deal with them.
