He's last on the train, and I don't think he counts towards it, though if there was an empty seat it may of been for maus, they're pretty small so it looks empty
I'd like to point out how in the item menu, (The original) Starwalker appears at the very top left of the screen, the default place where game spirtes/assests show up if not adjusted/modified in any way. This has to be intentional; it fits this characters so well.

I realized that Toby is most likely getting most of the deltarune funny moments compilations out of the way in the first half so less stupid jokes would be acceptable when the game needs to take a serious turn

So, is the implication that he was like, the art toby drew for the bird enemy's face, that walks after you hit the button, and that's why he says "I'm the original starwalker", because he's been replaced? And then every other time he says it, it's completely lost that initial relevance so it's just a weird catchphrase now
Since Starwalker doesn't turn to stone when he's out of Ralsei's darkworld, I like to imagine that he's either god level in power or is also from that darkworld, but that it never actually becomes relevant and he just shows up every now and then.
I bet Star Walker is the final boss and the knight, you think he's a darkner? He isn't, all the other darkners wich came with us turned to stone (ralsei is 100% also no darkner) and he did something to the trash machine, but for us there is no change, but i'm certain he made himself be able to get control over it, but has not used it because this will happen at the final showdown. Also he doesn't care if you do a snowgrave route or a normal route unlike lancer who later turns to stone in our inventory, again, star walker doesn't, he knows our choices don't matter, so why would he want to fight us? So he can be the only one who knows how to create fountains. So he can release the Roaring and at that point we know, he's the leader of the titans.
Do not underestimate the original star walker. Unlike any other darkner (Ralsei is a dark world BEING, not a darkner), he can travel between dark worlds.

@@Elf_Pyro Starwalker does count towards it, so even if you were violent to everyone else, you can still get that +5 Max HP bonus for recruiting him.
