I have the 2 bike version and carry a bike with 29x3” tires. Longer straps would be nice but for now I just let a good bit of air out of the tires before mounting.
@ if I travelled with the bike often enough I suppose it would be but I seldom do. I am blessed to have miles and miles of trails literally outside my front door….. Another thing you can do is combine 2 straps. That works really well also.
It’s an anti-rattle hitch tightener, can buy them for less than $30: www.amazon.com/Rhino-USA-Tightener-Silencer-Hitches/dp/B0DCM12Y7P/ref=asc_df_B0DCM12Y7P/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=713938417816&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5132392690368018098&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9004427&hvtargid=pla-2365593144681&psc=1&mcid=d70167a86caf3f1fa6da6059d040d691
Really helpful video. I was looking at the Kuat NV 2.0 but was worried about how that works with the fenders on my touring bike. Looks like this will be a good solution. Thanks!
Great review! Just found a used one at a local bike shop, in like-new condition, for $450! picking it up in 1 hour!
Thanks Ryan! Hope it serves you well!
Nice bike rack review. Very informative.
Thanks! What rack do you use?
@@VentureMTB I have a 1Up Heavy Duty now. I did have a Saris before tho. Wasn’t paying attention and backed into a bollard and killed it.

Dang 3.0”!! I haven’t tried that wide of a tire on here! Airing down every time must get a little annoying

What is the extra plate shown around 4:05? Wondering where to get one of those.

Thanks Jason, glad it helped!
Is this one better than the saris super clamp ex?
What kind of bikes are you trying to carry? And are you willing to spend $400ish more?
If I only want to carry 2 bikes, is the back portion of the carrier removable to shorten it?
No you can’t remove it, its one solid piece of steel
can you put a carbon bike on this rack
Yes, should be fine
Only showing 2 bikes on a supposedly 4 bike carrier is underwhelming.
Thanks boss, I'll make sure to go out and buy two more bikes for your viewing pleasure.
@@VentureMTB nice. I like that
