Francis Haines - The Return of the Living Dead - The Trioxin Theme
[Extended & Remastered by Gilles Nuytens]
This is an extended, rearranged & remastered version of the "Trioxin Theme" from the movie « The Return of the Living Dead » (1985) by Francis Haines. This is the original music, not a remix! This isn't a "loop" either, at least not a "basic loop": it's been rearranged to sound like it's an original track. I have also improved the sound to make it more clear and sound better. This particular track has never been released officially. I made this version from a DVD audio rip provided to me by DH William (AgentDagHorton). You can find the original version from which I made this here: • Video
Legal notes: I do not own this music! All rights remain to Francis Haines.

This is the greatest zombie movie besides 1990 version of night of the living dead;)
Saw this in the theaters last night and when this theme hit, the entire theater erupted in applause lmao
worthy of.
Righteous
What do mean you it saw last night in the theaters this shit came out in 85 lol
@@musicislife2000 a local theater was doing a special throwback screening lmfao
@@sarcasticslowking9149 oh ok lol didn’t think the movie would be rereleased in this era I saw it in 85 I was in elementary I’m in my 40s now I’m glad you enjoyed it watch part 2 it’s more comical but it still cool 👍🏻
"Come in dispatch...SEND. MORE. PARAMEDICS"
Play this at my funeral... And I hope it's raining that day!!
I already called Dibs
You fuck. 😂😂😂 I'm going to make a cast of my hand to put a foot away from my damned stone. But That's a wish too. That and an open bar.
Ah yes lovely 2-4-5 trioxin rain how *LIVELY*
Hands down the best zombie movie ever made!
The most traumatizing song of all time as a kid back in 85
Agreed. The tone of this theme had so much dread to it that I had never heard before. Something that would haunt me long after it and the movie was over.
@@Godlike_Virus My older brother took me to see it in the middle of 3rd row i was in elementary i will never forget im in my 40s now
Still gives me chills whenever this track kicks in, especially during the scene when the smoke mixed with Troxin rises from the furnace, up into the sky and it starts raining. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
@@TheNotoriousKAZ86 back in the days when CALI used to rain alot I used to freak out as kid I thought the zombies were gonna come out from the cemetery lol

Lol
"The rain will wash everything away, all should be back to normal by tomorrow....."
As a kid in the 90's, this was my first real horror movie, I was addicted to Horror ever since
The strongest and most deadly zombies ever created.
"Watch your mouth if you like this job!"
"Like this job?"
"YOU MEAN THE MOVIE LIED!?" gets a chuckle out of me everytime.
Also, I would love a classic cinematic Resident Evil inspired game inspired by this movie. Just your typical survival horror experience, but you can't kill any of the zombies just postpone the inevitable, even up until the end where the whole city is nuked just like in RE2 and 3. I think there's so much potential to terrify a player while dishing out humor that's much needed.
Just please anyone with the right amount of brains make this a reality.
BRAINS, YOU SAY
I wanted a game for YEARS.
I KNEW I wasn't the only one
Old school zombie movies are the best.
every time this theme plays you know shits about to hit the fan
The pefect 80's theme horror music.
Bro, it STILL sounds great today! I LOVE it!
1:45 This track is a masterpiece.
It is!
Mannnnn gets me hyped every time
Imagine going to a funeral or cemetery, and this song just starts playing...I'd fucking run right out of there!
Would you walk deep into the cementary at 3am blasting this song with your headphones for 1 million dollars in cash?
@@musicislife2000 like just do a quick walk in and walk out? And do i get carry a weapon on me just in case? And does it have to be at 3am, that's the hour of the devil. What about like 1am or something else?

Highly underrated quote. It's the tiny little things like this that made this movie amazing
One of the best horror themes ever.
The best. Cheers! 🤘🇺🇲
Best opening theme
“Hey Burt, about that favor you owe me…”
“Yeah?”
“Watch your ass out there.”
One of the GOAT horror themes!
I love this theme!
Me too, me too! It reminded my of late 80s devious soap opera music or old school action movies
The first movie that scared the shit out of me. The theme song was just as scary.
This song is the mvp of the movie
It's the greatest horror-comedy of the 1980's!
I really love the movie!! And the background music nailed it. That's why I'm here
One of my favorite horror movies growing up, and still one of my favorites till this day.
Always been my fav
Perfect score, just genius
This was the one I was looking for. Everytime I hear it, I can see tarman's eyelids melt away revealing those spooky eyes.😆😆
The best zombie music in history!!!
Literally watch this movie every October. It’s just too damn good to not watch at least once a year. My favorite Zombie Horror film.
Shiiittt, fuck that...I dnt have enough tide to wash all the shit out my draws😂😂😂😂LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing gets me more excited than this theme. Made me even more excited for the film after my first time hearing it

All aboard the Trioxin express!!
The theme and soundtrack made the movie
Awesome.
great movie with great sountrack
This theme really is to die for!
The title sequence for this film is a god dam delight! From the music cue. To the creepy credits. To the slow pan to the zombie in the can melting and just hanging on it!
Absolutely superb !! My dream is to see this in Movie theatre ! The composer should get the Oscar for this ost
“Trash is taking her clothes off again!”
I think that will be the only time we see linnea naked.
I am truelly happy that one theme and movie from this quality can bring so many people with a great taste of movies together. I salute you all.
Moooooooore braaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiins!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great horror classic, brilliant comedy.
This movie disturbs me and ive seen everything a Serbian film etc etc. Idk it scared the shit out of me as a kid. I love it i watch it often. However the films isolation and like no escape from the zombies. The half zombie lady that tells them it hurts to be dead. The elder cast members make it awsome and believable. This movies funny scarry and disturbing all in one. The music has this 80s creepy alt synth thing going on.
i love this theme so much
One of the best themes of all time for sure. I had never noticed the subtle chuggy guitar in the background before. Sweet

I remember seeing this movie in theaters! Scared the absolute batshit out of me and made me afraid to sleep for months! It didn't help that the catholic school I attended had it's own cemetery...
Didn't they tell you? That's where they put the trouble students.
It hurts... to be dead.
Sounds good considering... Thank you very much. Very rare, but it's prob my fav comedy and horror movie of all time.

"Trash taking her close off again"
Such a glorious moment in my childhood ... what a babe she is. ... full frontal .. burned into my adolescent brain. Up there with Phoebe Cates pool scene from Fast Times.
This slaps so much. I'm actually surprised no one has sampled it for rock/metal/rap songs.
I'd rather it be left out of rap lmao
If I still sampled and made instrumentals I definitely would. Problem is, it has so much going on in it, it would have to be a very uncreative sample. They'd have to mimic the riff like Dynasty Warriors 4 did with "Dynasty Warriors 4 OST - The Road To.."
@@Metalffe I actually agree
@@kontradiction8132 ahhh I see. I don’t know much about music but I see what you mean! Interesting. So basically it’s a perfect composition of sounds that really only work as a whole, and once you start picking it apart, it loses that “thing” we love about it? Thanks for this answer, I learned something new today! I agree…

The intense yet awesome rock score just feels right for this zombie movie.
