Everyone said women were impure so temple visiting not allowed. This is Adharma. Not Dharma.
Also our religions allows questioning , not being silent followers like Abrahamics.
Atleast first learn the religion yourself.

As a woman who has visited temples during Menstruation i thankfully NEVER experienced any such cramps as mentioned in the video. So one can't Generalise. Instead of telling women they can't go or shouldn't go during periods, just let them use their own discretion because human bodies are complex and this is a highly subjective experience. If she gets these kinds of cramps she can just avoid going next time on her own instead of being told what to do by the society.
Most people who don't know the reason, just assume women are "impure" during periods hence they can't go to temples. So the reasoning gets distorted.

For the ones mentioning about going to temples during periods, even I do but there is a difference in a consecrated/pitha temple. They are geologically created keeping the magnetic and earth energy centres in study and idols are consecrated at specific positions to activate the energy points. High power mantras and homas have actually had some effect during my menstruation, so avoid first 2-3 days. What i would like to share is those regular days of haldi-kumkum in ladies and women greeting days have no such idol mantra or japas, so there shouldnt be a reason to avoid it. Most of us don't even know the difference and apply the logic in anything and everything as paap amd punya.

@@Jaya-yt4nxHas nothing to do with impure. We literally celebrate the menstruation of Shakti 4 times in the year for 9 days each (Navratri). We don't have this idea of menstruation being impure. We think women are more strong during menstruation and thus their energy is potent and a temple is a consecrated space meaning it is swirling with energy too. If they clash its not the temple going down its the woman. More specifically that she goes infertile because of not respecting her own energy at the time nor the temple. We are literally vessels of energy and go to temple to take in the energy of the space. Menstruating women are already going through a powerful transformation in their womb where life force is leaving her body and new potential being built. We have free will as humans and she has every right to fck around and find out. Really shouldn't go crying to Brahman (God) or the devi devta when you begin having health issues and infertility because you don't educate yourself on what should and shouldn't be done for the sake of respecting this energy and the processes of the body. Wait for the white man to find out and publish it in a paper because clearly our ancestors are wrong about everything that's why the white man ends up "discovering" the same knowledge and only then it becomes fact lol. Actually during periods there is a downwards flow of energy in our body. And the energy in temples goes upwards in our body. So when we visit a temple during periods these two clashes with each other which leads to many diseases in the future. Normally when we are not having periods energy flows upwards in our body that's why we visit temples at that time.

During menstruation you shouldn't go to temple because
According to ayurveda during menstruation you shouldn't even bath because of a quick temperature change you get cramps
And this is very common that if you didn't bath you shouldn't go to temple
    Also temple have different energies

From point of health issues it is understandable not to go temple, but let's if a woman having periods during Mahashivratri and she is staunch devotee of lord Shiva then it could make her feel sad not to visit temple, in that case a woman can perform her rituals by taking proper bath and wearing neat and clean clothes... although woman don't visit temple during their periods their own...in some situations where it becomes necessary they visit...and some follow 40 days aur more than that , regular visits to temple for some rituals in that case they can't break the pattern...so sometimes it's not on the woman to decide whether to not go to temple when she is performing 40 days or similar to that rituals.. conditions apply

I mostly remember God when I am om periods ,it gives me peace .But there so much conditioning on menstruations being " impure " that I stopped doing any rituals altogether even not during periods.God didn't tell me to not visit him during periods but some humans who have the copyright of religion and god did.

Every women is different.. some woman may have cramps some may don’t.. let’s not generalize.. if women wants to visit temples or do pooja let them do it as long as they follow hygiene conditions.

I think this would been a valid reason when they asked why cant a women enter Aiyappa temple during her Menstruation cycles for nearly 35 to 40 years.
Believe in the customs and culture which is good for us

Please don’t go to temple or do any religious activity during periods, you need to realize that in this time of the month body has negative energy. With respect to the cleanliness and positive energy of such religious activities. 🙏

People in the comments claiming the info in this video to be false are idiots..
She clearly said *temple* *that* *are* *consecrated* ... you people should know that every temple isn't consecrated...only very old temples are consecrated cuz they were built in the correct way...the temples that are built today or just 100-200 years ago are nothing compared to consecrated temples
Also, "women during menstruation shouldn't visit temples" this isn't even applicable to all ancient temples..it's just some of them

Bharatiya/Sanatana Dharma Tradition and culture is not to suppress, downgrade or lower any human, either women or men, but to live healthy, harmonious with nature happily.

What she said may be true but the question is new temples are built like house, i meant to say that a place where we play games turns to a temple. And that become a little suspicious

Is this only for Hindu women or does it occur for Muslim, Catholic, Jewish, Christian, Druid, Buddhist and agnostic women also? I would love for someone to do a study on this. It's a very interesting scientific/spiritual theory. How have women's bodies responded to high vibration spiritual places during menstruation? Hmmm. Thank you for sharing this. I'm going to look for more information on it with women of every faith.
