- Sat 16th March saw 4 of us Taking on the remote Munro Sgurr Mor & its neighbour Sgurr an Fhuarain { Corbett } from an unsual approach, sailing
across Loch Quoich. It turned out an epic day with a very cold & wet journey back across the Loch.

Cheers Charlie, always had it in mind to do these 2 from across the loch, Dave’s boat made it a lot easier and quicker than kayaking. Yeh glad it didn’t pick up much worse. Still got an old fashion soaking tho🤣🤣

That stag at the beginning looked he was not for moving 😂. That looked an absolute amazing adventure frank. You’ll remember that one for sure

Excellent.... what a way to get these 2 bagged.Cracking video right from the off Frank.The scenery and the widlife looked stunning and well done getting the drone shots while you were crossing the Loch.😀👏👏
Certainly beats my day of walking in for these 2 from the dam,having to go up and over the Corbett twice.Just short of 20 miles I done that day and took me over 11 hours 🥵🥵
Cheers Andy, yeh after watching your vid I thought to myself, don’t fancy it that way, looked a slog🥾🤣. And I didn’t fancy it from that hellish roller coaster road also.
Always had a sail in mind with my kayak but when Dave got the boat it was a no brainer, great way to tackle them.
The drive down the lochside road was spectacular and the stags added to it.
Was a wee bit nervous flying the drone from the boat while moving as I’ve never done that before and the boat was busy.
So glad I’ve done them now.

I said hello in passing on the summit ridge (I was the guy in the orange Mammut jacket)
The boat is a great idea, as I had an 18 mile time up and down Glen Kingie. 😱

Thanks David, as you’ll know it was fantastic conditions and views from up there, one of my favourite areas for sure.
Didn’t fancy any of the walking routes in, so we were waiting for ideal conditions to take the boat across.
It turned out to be a fantastic day and was nice to see you up there.

An amazing adventure captured brilliantly Frank, we'll remember this one on our Munro 🏔️ journey thats for sure 😂 honestly can't believe how lucky we were with the weather ☀️ stunning views all around 🏔️🏔️🏔️ Stags 🦌 boats 🛥️ and Mountains covered in snow 🏔️ what more could you want... Brilliant Frank captured the day brilliantly , what a day the views were superb the weather was great until the return boat crossing wee got just a tad wet 🥶 🤣. but was a great day all round a day to remember for sure. Atb Ally 👍

Cheers Andy, what a spectacular area, I absolutely love it up there. As you know the snow capped mountains make all the diff and seeing the stags were a bonus.

An adventurous way to climb Sgurr Mor one of my favourite Munro’s and its neighbouring Corbett I recommend the nearby bothy kinbreck bothy in the glen below this Munro what fantastic views great part of Scotland thanks Frank it looked a bit of a choppy ride back thou
Thanks Andrew, this was always my intended way to climb this munro & Corbett. I’d bought a kayak just for this purpose, but when Dave got his new boat it made the planning a lot easier.
There are so many beautiful areas in Scotland but this area is defo in my top 3. Absolutely stunning, what a place.
The return journey was memorable 🤣🤣

Didn't think much of your "boat". Looked a tad overloaded with 4 blokes and all your gear. Glad it didn't sink! Excellent as usual😀
Cheers Brian, the boat was actually fine, yeh a bit cramped with all the gear but we knew it would be busy. It’s rated for 4 adults. There was actually meant to be 7 of us going initially so that would have been 6 crossing🤣🤣
Was glad only 4 of us could go.

Cheers Stevie, yeh it was a spectacular morning with terrific views, we knew the weather would be getting worse as the day went on, so getting a soaking a the end wasn’t too bad. Boots are still drying oot🥾🥾🤣🤣

Cheers Roberto, just a pity you were still feeling off as you would have loved it. Everything about the day was perfect. Yeh we all got droont on way back but that’s all part of the adventure.
The worst bit was driving in the dark and pissing rain for 4hrs.🤣🤣

Thanks, it was a brill day, original plan for this munro was to kayak across obv on a flat calm day. Once Dave got his inflatable it made the crossing easier and faster.
The munro itself was brilliant as was the sailing across, just on the way back it was very wet and cold, my boots are still drying oot🥾🤣

The day was absolutely brilliant with glorious weather in the morning and only the last 15mins or so in the boat was cold & wet🤣

Thanks very much, this boat/hike was on the radar for a while, just waited for the weather. It was a great way to do the hills and was defo a bit diff. I would certainly give it a go👍

Yeh was going to do my end bit for the camera, but we were all absolutely soaked and freezing and it was dark also, so it was just get everything packed away and start getting home🤣🤣👍

Just to ask aswell. I see you have a holster to hold your action camera. Did you buy that or was it home made? I keep looking for something to store my action camera a lot easier.

The holster is ideal, most of us had one now.
Think you can get them on Amazon, just type in Hammer holster and they should come up, pretty cheap also.
