Great shoe(t) out, Jason. What I found interesting is that although the Atmos midsole is harder on the Shore A, the overall weight is lighter than the v5.
Atmos pressed on top of my foot, and didn’t have much support on the 5th metatarsal side of my foot. Also atmos heated up too fast. It got really hot in it. They say it’s a 5mm drop but feels more close to the ground. And I didn’t like that either. Only thing I liked was wide toe-box.
@ Thank you. What are your suggestions for lateral foot support shoe. Everyone is just focusing on arch support & medial side of the foot. It’s so hard to find good supportive shoe for 5th and lateral side of the foot. Bondi 8 are way too restrictive as a stability shoe, but a mix of cushion with good support would be an ideal shoe, I just cannot find one yet after buying tons of shoes already that haven’t worked.
Excellent question! I too need a little bit more lateral support as my foot comes down hard towards the lateral part of both my shoes. I discussed the novablast 4 and during my review I covered the lateral flair especially for that one. Others to consider that I can think of are the mount to coast P1, NB More v4/5/1080v14, Topo specter 2, HOKA Skyflow, puma MagMax to name a few. I’d throw in the Nike invincible too but I only have the v1. Those focus on lots of cushion with a bit wider landing platform and I remember there being a generous amount of lateral support. Hope this helps.
@@RunningNPAdventures Thank you so much. Yes, this is very helpful. I will give these a try and see how it works. I already have NB 1080 V13 and V14, which are ok but on some days needing more stability on lateral side… I’m hoping that others will work for me better. Thanks again for your recommendation. It’s much appreciated.
I believe it is with the category being high stack long run friendly shoes. The hurricane does have some stability features. It’s a pretty good shoe from what I hear 😊

Thank you! Yeah exactly. The weight difference was unexpected! It felt harder underfoot but it’s really good
@@RunningNPAdventures cool thx

I’m sorry to hear about your 5th and the shoe not doing well for you. I agree that it’s one of the best toe boxes out there if not my favorite

Absolutely! Anytime!
Is Hurricane 24 comes in the same category?
