Diacamping - DL7 best value for money. I'd rather go through 7-10 of those over a Leatherman... On the SQT the only thing for me is that I'd take a full size diamond file over a serrated knife every single day of the week.
@@hvacbudget8600 The GF got me a DL30 (also awesome) but its a beast - I got her a DL7 a year and I'd actually consider EDC'ing that (in fact she carries it in her handbag - no joke)
Ive been using the bibury surge clone for 2 years. Im in industrial maintenance and i put it thru the paces. Haven't had any issues and its not gonna break the bank like leatherman. I did add a pocket clip to it. Used a donk clip for a wingman. Fits fine.
Got the SQT after watching your video. Thanks!! You're right about the alignment, but for the price, you can't beat it! Micro driver, full size scissor, outside deploying tools, 1/4" driver, strongest design plyer head, replaceable wire cutters, list goes on and on. Not much missing as far as an EDC tool. Thanks for the video again! Leatherman ARC...One day, but until then, my SQT will do just fine!
For me the best is the Bibury Pro. It is amazing. I just purchased a Wave Plus the other day for the sake of reviewing on my review channel and still I say the Bibury Pro is the best.
So Bibury makes this same tool. It also is miss aligned on two models I have purchased. So it is something out of the factory. But it has a great tool set.
So I’m a dad of two very young kids and have never had a multi tool other than my SOG mini pint. I’m not in the trades or anything but I’m teaching myself to be more handy. Is the ARC overkill for me? I’m kind of drawn to the fidget factor of it with the magnets lol. Other than the arc I’m considering a black oxide Wave or the Signal. Any suggestions?
@Shmyrk Great question. I think the Leatherman Arc is like the Mercedes Bence G- wagon. Is it great yes. Expensive and overkill in this case probably, but if you want it, it's a great option. The Leatherman Wave is like the Toyota Camry of multi tools- dependable, multi purpose probably your best option. The Signal is for the outdoors, camping, hiking etc but it has some great tools in a lightweight package. All of them are great options. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
Main advantage of the Arc in my opinion is being able to single-handedly deploy EVERYTHING, and the fidget factor as well lol. With small children I can imagine one hand always being occupied with whatever so that can come in handy. I’ve carried a Curl for a year when the Arc came out, went nope on the price until I handled the free series… That’s what sold it. If you don’t wanna spend the money, don’t ever hold one lol
@@thomaskuperus5933 😂😂😂 thanks for the breakdowm! I think it might be too late for me already lol it hasn’t left my mind all day. Great point about one hand being occupied at all times. I’m usually trying to hold back a 1 and 4 year old from grabbing a pile of screws as I struggle to fit a screw into a hole. I’ll take all the help o can get
I’m either one had the t-shank holder on them as well on the outside and sacrificed a tool that could be made in a t-shank form instead how Awesome would that be. Or if the could make the micro bit driver adapted to a t-shank and replace the micro driver then with the t-shank holder. Better yet if they could just combine the micro bit, and bit driver into a t-shank, and just make the t-shank instead. This would free up tool slots for so many more possibilities. Or even slim down the tool. Because let’s face it if it had one less layer and those implants that you use less in a t-shank form, wow that would blow the lid off of everything out there.
If you purchase the MUT or EOD replacement cutters it's easy to modify if you have a dremel or work in a shop with a grinding wheel. Just round off the edge 😊 fits like a glove and no gap in your cutters. That was really killing me too
Not worth to collect the clones. So for entry level, i will go for the gerber strata and Roxon KS2E (MT without plier). Roxon s802s is worth mentioning too. At higher ends, ARC, P4, and the best is still my two swisstool spirit plus. I have yet to receive my Roxon Flex so can't comment on that.
good review. However, see nothing new for that 200$price to offer . The micro Phillips will be better to than a flat one which isn't small enough for even eye glass.
I have my own opinion. I see my Surge, my supertools and even my Sceletool cx as caveman. I see Arc the P series as metro sexual tools. I prefer caveman.😊
I run a Swiss tool clone of the Ozark Trail 18 in 1. Modified with LM Rebar plier head and diamond file, Sanrenmu 14c28n knife blade and large scissors😂 parts cost more than the multitool
@@hvacbudget8600 the scissors isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but I recently got a 2nd hand SAK which I intend to gut so I can upgrade the scissors with a proper victorinox peice 😁 wish I could show you dude. Your wave mod was my inspiration to mod this piece
STAY AWAY from Leatherman. I paid them $239 for an Arc and paid extra to engrave my name on it, only to get the item and it looks like the engraving was done by a 3 year old. When I called them, they were snooty and only offered the $12 engraving fee back. The item is horrible looking with the engraving, as is their customer service.

The SQT is impressively packed with tools. I’ve never seen a tool with a micro screwdriver, awl, serrated blade knife, large scissors, and mini file
Great value I think. Compared to the 500 aud for an arc I'll stick to the cheaper tools

I also have the flashy first addition on my ARC , looking into the new flashy 3.0

Is there an add on thumb stud for the main blade on the SQT like the ARC has that you could recommend?
@@MrGoodtime1301 I don't think so yet.
Does the T-Shank from the DL30 fit into the DL7 as a replacement for the saw? Would be the perfect combination for me. 🤔

Has Leatherman gotten its cutters fixed yet? I've held off on buying any new Leatherman until they've got that straightened out.
The heat tempering seems fixed but the gap at the bottom seems to be a permanent design decision.
