It's crazy how surgical bomber had so much trouble dealing with the brit player even when running spearhead. And he kept on leaving either infantry or vehicles out of the action, just teasing us with what could be great combined arms action but never actually using his whole army to push.
We are talking about players on lower ranks they are bound to make mistakes or have miss plays it's normal all he can do is play better and learn from mistakes
Seems like you get hyper fixated on things and forget about your other units. My advice would be to try and setup a routine to develop habits of checking on your other units, etc. so that you don’t loose awareness of them.
I might be wrong but from the outside it feels like you're staring at your units while they are fighting instead of giving orders to other. You are also a bit to cautious and maybe too inactive ; plus you don't seem to completely aware of the general rapport de force. In short you seem to be too focus on micro. I suggest you to use the tactical map in order to improve your overall awareness.
You could also use control groups which helps in larger game modes. That way you can still micro pretty good but if need be have the units on a key to respond fast or for tedious micro e.g. reinforcing while you micro the front. Just dont forget about your units at the base ;)
Not finishing a bofor, leaving it on a sliver of health, only to frag bomb it blindly a minute later and kill engineer squads is quite the genius move.
Two soviet and no katyushas... if they made three they probably could've won no matter the game state The trick to beating axis tanks is by increasing their downtime by manpowering bleeding them so hard they can't afford pioneer repair time. That's how katyushas counter heavy tanks. Manpower bleed, then leave the enemy with damaged heavy tanks that decrease manpower income while sitting idle. The manpower income design of this game encourages gameplay like this. Forcing the enemy into double pioneer with repair kit is a win by itself, since pios with repair kits can't fight shit and also soak manpower income.
i have a question about your coh2, it looks so much clearer and crisper than my game, even though i run my game on max settings...as someone who isn't a tech genius, what can the difference be attributed to?

Yeah I was pretty clocked out in this game. I definitely could have done better. My only highlight was my rocket arty play.
So many stationary troops with so much fire power he had this game could have ended early with the brit player playing sims at mid.

Just a tip , give a chance to mortar trucks with spearhead commander if you ever have problems with emplacements , you will be shocked with results.
