I switched so quick from my iPhone. I discovered the Optimized battery mode couple of days ago, 15% battery lasted me about 7 good hours!!! . This guy making the review is just full of talking points . It used to be a comparison about functionalities, battery, durability now its all about how close Apple store is to you.

See, this is why I love EAP, he isn't biased in his videos about the phones and he admires both. For all you triggered fanboys, stop, just stop. Nothing is perfect, and there are pros and cons to each smartphone. If you want to take faster processing and an optimized inhouse OS over a sexy curved 2k display then by all means go buy an iPhone. In this generation, that difference in processing is more like a less 1-3 seconds in opening a heavy game. I think everyone can just agree that the S8 is amazing and worth the money much more than the iPhone 7. Now of course the S8 came out later but it still is better than the current iPhone in terms of hardware. The only pro for the iPhone is software wise. I absolutely love iOS and its optimization but of course android is great too. In my opinion (don't worry you can have an opinion too) the S8 is fantastic and I'll take the sexy smartphone over a faster (not by much) dated iPhone. Dragonite He is 100% biased. You can tell when he says that Samsung batteries "dont really last very long" and when he talks about the quad tone flash. Btw, Android itself is totally optimized, that's why system apps open as fast or even faster than on iOS devices, the thing is that 3rd party apps are not optimized for every single phone. On an iPhone, all the hardware is the same, so the apps can be full optimized for the phone, but on Android, with it's vast variety of phones with different hardware the apps can't be optimized as well. I personally like Android OS better, almost solely because of the back button.

I have no need to admit it because I'm truly happy with my iPhone 7 plus it's a perfect phone for me and I have no want or need for an s8 or any other android based device, I like my simply easy reliable iPhone and prolly will never get an android. The specs, the screen, the battery, the ui, the version of android and that's about it. Nothing more needed the get upgraded in my opinion. The camera is already amazing, so why spend money trying to change it?
iPhone 7+ if you prefer a phone that has a streamlined ecosystem and is ready to go out of the box. Galaxy S8 if you prefer the customization android offers and like big screens.

Lets talk serious here. Competition??? Please!!! Since S6 there's no competition at all. Apple is the option for those who prefer status. Galaxy is the option for those who really want to do more with their phones. Samsung is waaaay ahead!!! S7 already was sooo much better than IPhone 6 AND IPhone 7. And I seriously doubt that Iphone 8 will be any kind of competition for S8.
There's so much inconsistency with android and Samsung in general. for example, iphone 5/5s works pretty good till today but samsung Galaxy S4 doesn't compare with 5s because of the SOFTWARE limitation and app compatibility. Sure, in terms of hardware I could say that Samsung is leading the way but Apple is not too far behind (Please bear in mind that Apple processor is still the fastest on the market). Apple is still in the playing field because of their software and hardware harmony. And for the "status" I wouldnt agree. Apple devices are very reliable in the long run. The software development and high optimisation take a huge amount of money plus they are investing heavily in r&d (same as intel, they hold their technologies and doesnt release it to the public until "the right time" comes). Believe it or not, Apple and Samsung really are competing against each other. Ofcourse the iris scanner and superb display is a hallmark of technology, but you need to think of the overall experience of the phone. If the current Apple iPhone could load app faster/better multitasking than Samsung's device with the 6GB of ram, then 6GB of ram is not a technology advancement. Functions above gimmicks, always remember that.

Because the competition is good for both companies. In this 2-way clash it will always be iOS vs android, samsung vs apple, as long as it stays that way they will both profit the most. Have you not noticed themworking together closely on such things, they want to be arch rivals cause that creates loyal fans who never abandon them and support their brand so much they will bring in new people. Last year they both shit their pants with the google pixel, they still are afraid of what google might do this year. And only this month, lg introduced the g6, samsung was forced to reveal some of the s8 because they shit their pants over lg's phone taking away so much spotlights in emerging markets and even the western market. This will however end in a couple years as they can't keep stopping other brands from taking spotlights, people want to see change and after a while that won't only be designwise but brandwise. That's probably also when google will need to create something android-like but completely new cause also OS will change in time

For the first time ever, I think that the galaxy has truly surpassed the iPhone in terms of hardware. These guys from Samsung have really learned their lesson. I can't believe that they are now doing MUCH better designs than Apple. The only thing that keeps me from getting one is the OS, iOS is still far ahead of android in terms of interface, apps, security and reliability, not to mention the apple ecosystem and their customer service is top-notch. Just a thing. Apple was the first company to bring a 'smartphone' with 'thouchscreen' on the market. So every other smartphone made after is basically copied from Apple. Also IOS is the most safe software. You don't need a virusscanner or things like that. And the phones are very durable. Samsung or other smartphones must be replaced after 2 years or less. With a Iphone you can do atleast 5 years if you use it normally. That's why people buy a Iphone...

The specs, the screen, the battery, the ui, the version of android and that's about it. Nothing more needed the get upgraded in my opinion. The camera is already amazing, so why spend money trying to change it?

Lets talk serious here. Competition??? Please!!! Since S6 there's no competition at all. Apple is the option for those who prefer status. Galaxy is the option for those who really want to do more with their phones. Samsung is waaaay ahead!!! S7 already was sooo much better than IPhone 6 AND IPhone 7. And I seriously doubt that Iphone 8 will be any kind of competition for S8.
There's so much inconsistency with android and Samsung in general.
for example, iphone 5/5s works pretty good till today
but samsung Galaxy S4 doesn't compare with 5s because of the SOFTWARE limitation and app compatibility.
Sure, in terms of hardware I could say that Samsung is leading the way but Apple is not too far behind (Please bear in mind that Apple processor is still the fastest on the market). Apple is still in the playing field because of their software and hardware harmony.
And for the "status" I wouldnt agree. Apple devices are very reliable in the long run. The software development and high optimisation take a huge amount of money plus they are investing heavily in r&d (same as intel, they hold their technologies and doesnt release it to the public until "the right time" comes).
Believe it or not, Apple and Samsung really are competing against each other. Ofcourse the iris scanner and superb display is a hallmark of technology, but you need to think of the overall experience of the phone.
If the current Apple iPhone could load app faster/better multitasking than Samsung's device with the 6GB of ram, then 6GB of ram is not a technology advancement. Functions above gimmicks, always remember that.
Like I said, since Samsung S6. Im not talking albout people that want to buy a phone and keep it for 4 years or more... And we also have to keep in mind that Android have way more free apps and other stuff that you would have to pay for on Apple's phones. I always wanted to have an apple phone, and I could buy the Iphone 6 when I bought my S6 Edge. I had both on hands and I chose the S6.

Because the competition is good for both companies. In this 2-way clash it will always be iOS vs android, samsung vs apple, as long as it stays that way they will both profit the most. Have you not noticed themworking together closely on such things, they want to be arch rivals cause that creates loyal fans who never abandon them and support their brand so much they will bring in new people. Last year they both shit their pants with the google pixel, they still are afraid of what google might do this year. And only this month, lg introduced the g6, samsung was forced to reveal some of the s8 because they shit their pants over lg's phone taking away so much spotlights in emerging markets and even the western market.
This will however end in a couple years as they can't keep stopping other brands from taking spotlights, people want to see change and after a while that won't only be designwise but brandwise. That's probably also when google will need to create something android-like but completely new cause also OS will change in time

The iPhone has bad battery life. The iPhone gets new features that Samsung, sony Xperia, LG and many others had back in 2011 and the list goes on. That's not how it works. It uses some kind of technology to recognize whether its your face or just a picture of your face.
ItsFulez supposedly that won't work. I just take my friends phone and force their finger, now with iris and facial recognition a quick flash to the face and I'm in.

For the first time ever, I think that the galaxy has truly surpassed the iPhone in terms of hardware. These guys from Samsung have really learned their lesson. I can't believe that they are now doing MUCH better designs than Apple.
The only thing that keeps me from getting one is the OS, iOS is still far ahead of android in terms of interface, apps, security and reliability, not to mention the apple ecosystem and their customer service is top-notch.
As much as I love apple, this phone just crushes the iPhone 7 in every way.

Just a thing. Apple was the first company to bring a 'smartphone' with 'thouchscreen' on the market. So every other smartphone made after is basically copied from Apple. Also IOS is the most safe software. You don't need a virusscanner or things like that. And the phones are very durable. Samsung or other smartphones must be replaced after 2 years or less. With a Iphone you can do atleast 5 years if you use it normally. That's why people buy a Iphone...
My Samsung S6 is 4 years old and works normal tho. You don't have to change your phone if you use it carefully.
