Thanks SO much for this video Rich!! So many channels talk about how to make the best videos but no one talks about how’s to sort and save your footage. I found this extremely useful. Thanks again and keep up the good work!!
Excellent, Rich. I've never lost a memory card but I have deleted 360 footage in error. Used an online resource to recover it and all was well, but it cost me a few quid....lesson learned! Cloud storage is great but it costs. It also takes time to upload/download...time is at a premium. I try to edit on the day of filming and upload to TH-cam...once uploaded, its pretty safe and YT is free. I dont keep much old footage in the Cloud these days. TOP TIP: Title your clips with the date first in the YYYYMMDD format. This syntax means you can sort your clips by date easily as the title/name is sortable. I do not use underscores, its unnecessary.
I will admit I don’t use my 360 cameras very much (last time i used my X4 the tripod it was on got knocked), but the folder structure i tend to use for sorting footage is either the top level folder, followed immediately by YYYY-MM-DD (i use folder structure for the excavator footage, which is what i was using the X4 for when it got knocked), or top level folder, then YYYY, then YYYY-MM, then YYYY-MM-DD (i use this structure for still photos, but might use it for videos in the future)

When will the cloud be available for the US ?? I’m ready to ditch GoPro’s cloud since I’ve bought 2 insta 360 cameras so far.
It says on the site that it’s already in the US

Yes good point - it definitely depends on how much you shoot. For me my shots are always very short. Thanks for the comment.
