I remember watching Dr. Berman in the early 2000s along with her sister Jennifer on their relationship show. My heart breaks for her family. Peace be upon them.

She is a therapist who had a child using drugs and blames the dealer? She should take some accountability as well. Noone takes responsibility at all and tries to find scapegoats instead of having any type of accountability and it's disgusting! This Dr should be ashamed of herself.

We lost our 18 year old son last August 2022. A dad of a friend gave him those frozen shots of alcohol-he hit a tree without a seat belt and had severe brain damage.😢we really miss him. But he has a twin that started college soon after his brother died and it has been tough, they were to go together. My husband is having the hardest time as well. I miss him but am moving on as best I can❤

Why did a 16 year old want to take Xanax or Percocet? I don’t get it.

Well, that just shows how little adversity you’ve experienced. I don’t understand how an affluent teen could feel they need anything more in their life, sure. But if you’ve never experienced pain in your adolescence, then congratulations on a wonderful childhood.

Curious kid... I was a drug addict. I didn't start until I was 21, I am considered a "genius". My story: Bored genius tried drugs, accidentally got hooked, his story probably different.... Young kid hears from friends "oh this will make you relax," "this will help you sleep" "this is so much better than alcohol", etc... whatever the case may be. Kids experiment... that's how it goes. You think one time won't hurt, you get something spiked, you die.

It seems as if souls are coming in now, experiencing the nightmarish quality of living here, then changing their minds. Equally likely is they're coming in, and dying this way to wake us up to the price of disconnection and greed. These are--unfortunately--not mutually exclusive.

I don’t believe Sammy Overdosed..he was murdered with Fentanyl as was my grand daughter Korryn Elizabeth Sorenson January 29,2022 Her “dealer” is finally being charged with 3rd degree murder My daughter wants to start an educational format for families who have had this horrible experience. We have had too many young people being murdered in this way in our community of Cloquet MN..Any assistance that Dr Bergman could give my daughter Kerrie Sorenson to inform our community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Prayers for you! I hope you find peace and joy again! I pray every day to have our son come to us in a dream to see he is ok. My husband had that dream-it was wonderful. Now my turn and our twin as well. I will continue to pray for you. You might see a therapist-they do help!!

“Accidental” drug over dose… nope. Dumb choices & stupid decisions = negative consequences.

I agree. I’m sorry this happened but he still bought the drug and took it. She can’t blame Snapchat or the dealer.

Children are supposed to learn from their mistakes not die from them. He didn't get grounded for a week. He's DEAD.

@@gkhwpgmom oh yes she can. He thought he was buying Percocet and the dealer brought him a fake pill made of fentanyl. That's called POISONING. How can you possibly think that is okay?
