Congratulations Chinew! Every hunt is a learning experience......the emotional roller coaster is part of it. This hunt provides experience for you to draw from in the future. You're a better hunter now than you were yesterday because of it. Congratulations again!
You fellas are certainly consistent in providing viewers with great hunts, instructional and professionally presented, narrative and videoography . Keep up with the high standard hunting films, an example for all to follow..thanks ..
Good Job. Your dedication, persistence, knowledge and pursuit to fill your tag has inspired all of your TH-cam fans. Keep on videoing your informative great hunts and outdoor adventures.
What a hunt, congratulations and yet another great edit. Unfortunately sometimes we make bad hits for what ever the reason, the good thing is that it expired fast and you were able to recover it. I very much enjoy watching all the videos.
Great hunt. Even with your rifle sighted in, in the excitement you would not be the first one to pull a shot. It happens. We all do our best. Congrats on the deer!
Ribs are good to eat , i dont know why all these hunters leave it behind and just take what they can handle . But any how congrats on a nice buck and enjoy your harvest!
Truth be told there's really not enough meat on the ribs of a deer to carry the xtra weight of them bone in....now the rib meat in between the rib bones are great to cut out to add to the grind pile.
Congrats on your buck. I’m glad you found him. That hard quartering away shot is very iffy, even if your gun is dead on. Probably best just to try and let him get broadside. Like you said though, lessons learned. Nice work on getting your buck. Congrats.
great job its nice to see someone hunt in true form , not for antlers or how wide tall thickness of tines ... most of my buck tags are filled with mature does or big bodied young bucks ;) enjoy any time with elders in your family when it comes to hunting .. i sure wish i had the family hunting experiences but its all solo for me i did hunt a few years with some friends so there i was blessed ;) keep on the videos ill definatly watch them ;)
He has his own cameras, better cameras than mine if I say so myself lol. He's just started to film his hunts more frequently! He'll definitely start having more videos on here.
Congrats on the deer. That shot looked a bit sketchy. Ive been there. Brand new scope bumped once knocket it off and i took the legs off a buck. But, you got him thats what matters
I had a bad shot this year. Took a shot on a deer I wasn’t completely ready for. Bad hit and couldn’t recover my deer. It happens. We just learn from it and move forward. Led to me shooting a nice bull elk and put meet in the freezer.
Classic blacktail quote: "It didn't look so bad from up there, but once you get down here, it's pretty thick" Yes, quartering away, looks like you pulled it left...
You learned a hard lesson, but one that you will not ever forget. Thankfully you were able to recover the deer and harvest it. If the scope is still on then I would suggest getting more range time in with different positions so that you can control the rifle and not pull to the left. That 300wsm has a kick to it and if your not ready it will get you and pull your shot. You did a great job doing camera work, hats to you on that. I hope that those ribs turned out great, I know that he will appreciate them. Thanks for taking us on your hunt.
I am sure I’ll catch grief for this, but that was an unethical shot... I appreciate the videos and content, but learn what lessons you can from this hunt and strive toward cleaner kills. Congrats on your harvest.
Samong and Chinew, I don't know how many years you've been hunting, but I do know that if you continue to hunt things will not always go right. Even if you do everything perfectly something out of your control can cause problems. Although you claim the POI was not POA, until you get the rifle on paper you won't know. You're assuming the rifles' POI has changed in this video. What if you get out to the range and the rifle is still zeroed? Will you blame yourself for poor trigger control? Like you, I agree you should have tried a shot before the next hunt after "dropping" your rifle. It happens. Next time, if you're pressed for time, go to a spot in the hills and take a 100 yard shot at something where you can see the POI definitively. Then you'll have piece of mind and a clear conscience. Taking a life a serious responsibility as you know. Posting it for the entire world to approve or ridicule is something else too. It's bold for sure. Be prepared for actual hate toward you and what you do, even if it is flawless. Make no mistake, you did the right thing taking responsibility for your shot. Your shot angle was fine. It can really hurt when things go wrong, and guys like you, me, and Samong are inclined to blame ourselves first. We must grow and improve ourselves in all situations in the field. Now, stop fretting about what might have happened, go eat ribs with Grandpa...If he'll share with you. Also, if recoil reduction interests you, consider a Witt Machine clamp on muzzle brake. I got one on my rifle and it greatly improved my shooting and shooting confidence. I can now watch my bullet impact the deer. It has also eliminated my battle with flinching on a shot. Acts 10:13
@@kevobangz1751 They said it on this trip its very hard on tier bodies and they are getting to the end of their hunting days. That must be a terrible feeling.
I have no doubt that they share in there success. If anything they probably give away more than they keep. I have watched Samongs channel for a long time and they are a tight knit family that help and watch out for each other.
@@CuriousFord Yeah, they're really aging so gotta spend as much time with them while they're still able to hunt. I can only wish that I'm as strong as them when I am their age!
Don’t doubt yourself. You just provided for your family. Who cares if it doesn’t look perfect or the shot is not what you wanted. You did it!

I’m a simple man. I see SYO drop a video. I watch it and hit the like button as soon as it starts.
Hard to pass on good content. He puts a lot of hard work into what he does, on top of going to college.

Bruh I’ve been hunting in sandiego and I feel like this is the year I get my buck
Nicko_is_dank : did you get one ? I didn’t have any luck in SD
Ralphaell Punch no but the guys I went with got 3
Nicko_is_dank : where did you go?
Texas heart shot him. But congratulations at least you recovered him.
Keep up the videos me and my brother just started hunting together
We're you hunting at, like we're in Oregon?
Congrats man. Iv definitely been in a similar situation. All u can do is hit the range. It sucks. But atleast u got it! And he didnt suffer to much
buy some cams for chinew. twice as many videos for the channel!!
He has his own cameras, better cameras than mine if I say so myself lol. He's just started to film his hunts more frequently! He'll definitely start having more videos on here.
If he makes his own channel make sure to let him know to post it so that we can sub to him.

Good job. We have shot many blacktails in the middle of the day. People leave the deer come out.
Am I going crazy or did he say he saw a spike in velvet in early November?????
Not crazy at all! One of the spikes was still in velvet!
Great job... 🖒🖒🖒🖒
Sorry you didn't get a clean shot but you got your kill.

Some advice from a black tail hunter, hunt uphill it's easier to get them to the truck. Good job on the recovery. 👍
VERY AWESOME,HAVE A GREAT TIME BE SAFE.
Texas Heart shot
Your backpack covered your orange vest. Good job filling your tag!
Pretty ignorant to not shoot the rifle after you know it’s been dropped..
At least you recognize that the shot sucked, hope you learned from it. Next season 7 pointers and up. Good job on the video work.
I am sure I’ll catch grief for this, but that was an unethical shot... I appreciate the videos and content, but learn what lessons you can from this hunt and strive toward cleaner kills. Congrats on your harvest.
The guy was heartbroken by what he saw on the video. He knows he took a bad shot. No need to pile on.
Man that was a poor choice of a shot
Not the best for sure, but can't change it. Can only learn from it and better ourselves. Thanks for watching!

The Young guys are getting all the kills and the elders are struggling. I hope some of the older family members get something.

hamburger...that's all I have to say.... you filled a tag I guess? still a good video
What just happened you ask? You made a horrible decision to take that shot. Very disappointing.
Horrible shot as you know but you did the best you could with it and found the deer that's the right thing to do so congrats
Swear it look like he shot that deer in the ass 😭😭😭
Too Much Gun.
rushed shot for no reason
After hearing that you dropped ur gun and still took that shot u should lose your hunting license
We admit that not shooting the gun after dropping it wasn't the best thing to do. But we're humans and we make mistakes. Thanks for watching.
Maybe you should stick to fishing.
One time I cast and got caught in the branches along the creek. Haven’t been out since that mistake........not!
Having watched the shot he should have took the broadside shot at first or waited. But, he got it.
