I doubt there’s anything to it. I just think after the Punk issue mixed with the other stuff the followed people are gonna see more in everything than may be there. People who are cooking up a theory about Mox being mad to lose the belt are seemingly forgetting that he literally just lost the belt and planned to take time off.
So it wouldn’t be shocking to see Mox gone for a little while. He was supposed to go on vacation after All Out and delayed it thanks to the events. He’s probably taking that trip now.

@@gabters215 Vegeta turned face pretty quickly so fans weren’t cheering for a straight up villain but a rough around the edges baby face with asshole tendencies, he had a continued rivalry with Goku but it wasn’t wanting to destroy him anymore it was wanting to surpass his power, and I loved how they’d argue more like a married couple than bitter rivals.
Moxley no selling has bugged me dating back to his shield days. Felt like he thought he was Hogan .

That’s why the crowd cheer for him despite him being a heel (which in and of itself is a deeper discussion). He has managed to create that demand from the fans by simply being absent and delivering when it counts. He knows how to say ‘no!’ He listens to veterans. He stays in character and doesn’t do shit he can’t do. He WORKS the crowd and doesn’t just phone it in like 99.999% of the roster. The crowd sees that or is able to feel that if they don’t recognise it. That’s a true pro in my book.
Work rate company? Hardly. There’s no working involved at all. Just flips and no-sells. If you want work-rate, NJPW and Noah are where it’s at.

In the 3 years AEW has existed, I’ve often been critical of their booking decisions as it has disappointed me. This wasn’t one of those time. Credits are where credits due! They did the right thing! I am really looking forward to where MJF goes as a champion. As it this wasn’t enough, paring him would William Regal is going to be amazing! These will find ways to do everything well!

Starks is good.. But MJF first must go over main event guys like Danielson Page Cole Omega Jeeicho and hopefully Punk..
These two actually had worked a program together at Inspire Pro Wrestling in Austin back around 2018/2019. They had a match and were supposed to wrestle again for the main championship but MJF ended up vacating the title before it happened. They had some pretty entertaining promos on a few shows leading to that 2nd match. It would be cool to see them go at it again.
Some of the best heals where also loved by the fans, Rick flair, the rock, and stone cold had heel runs who were also cheered... It takes a social talent, and sometimes believe it or not, a smart fanbase.
This company is in such shambles. The best heel in the business, is the most popular guy in the company, gets cheered out of the building every week cause he's more entertaining than everyone else, and him and Regal are about to try and do everything they can to get heat on Wednesday, and will get cheered out of the building while doing it.
He's the best talking heel but definitely far from the best heel.... dude puts zero fear in anyone he's just obnoxious... final boss heels are better

what the ending of MJF vs Mox would be, under the MJF/Regal promo reaction thread on TH-cam. IMO this was an obvious ending. Regal handing MJF the brass knucks to win, as it solidifies MJF as the greatest modern day Heel in Pro Wrestling. It was perfectly done IMO.
Well it wasn’t exactly that difficult to predict how this match was going to play out. This wasn’t some “out of left field” swerve. Mox has been waiting for months to take his vacation, so he had to drop the belt. And Regal/MJF already teased working together when they cut that promo in the ring.
The match was in Jersey.
MJF is a hometown baby face there just like Long Island.
AEW needs a new costume designer if they thought Moxley wearing maroon sweatpants would make him look the definition of a champion

No. It is AEW’s fault. It is Tony Khan’s fault. It is the veterans’ fault in the back who are silent. Most importantly it is the wrestlers’ fault for doing whatever the Hell they think will get a ‘pop’. They are going for the pop and not the booking itself. Good booking doesn’t make the crowd fickle. Look at Punk; he showed what a true babyface is and the crowd lapped it all up while booing MJF, booing Hobbs and so on.
Similarly, Danielson was cheered and the World champion Page was booed because the crowd saw through how shit Page was. This is a case of marks hijacking a segment. AEW is the worst offender in this case.

very annoying that AEW does this in the tri state area. He’s from Plainview, Long Island, New York. He’s not from Newark, New Jersey. Two different places with their own people in them. Just cause they’re near one another on the map doesn’t mean anything.

MJF really is something else, great at taking bumps great and improvisation and mid match adjustments, even making others mistakes up. Literally the only demerit I can give him is he needs to wrestle way more often, and also yeah needs to figure out this very confusing heel/babyface contradiction.
MJF is great for the less than million fans already watching, but MJF as the guy isn't going to grow your audience
I don’t think you necessarily need to be concretely face/heel. And he’s also commented on how he wants to be an attraction and wrestle rarely like Andre the giant. Builds suspense. People forget he’s an entertaining wrestler and then are reminded during the match. Then time builds where he runs his mouth and people think he’s full of shit, then he proves himself and so on. Just how I looked at it. Wouldn’t hate more matches from him tho

something i've been noticing with a e w matches is when they do the count out spots they wait till 9, and then suddenly they look like they popped a 5 hour energy, and sprint back in the ring. i don't remember seeing that a lot during the attitude era, ruthless aggression, or pg era. or did they do it, and i just never noticed ? also dont remember seeing that during the mid 2000s t n a either or did they do it there to ?

Honestly, i'm a bit surprised Jim didn't have an issue with the diamond ring/brass knuckles spot. It made no sense for MJF to throw down the diamond ring while the ref was knocked out, only to take the brass knuckles later. It would have made more sense if Regal said, "don't you dare use the diamond ring, use these brass knuckles instead!"
The psychology might be that once Moxley made him tap and he realised he was on the verge of losing, he became desperate. Otherwise, you're right, it doesn't really make sense unless MJF and Regal were trolling - which you wouldn't do in a high stakes championship match.

Mjf vs. Mox was a really good match and shows Mox can put on a good match and tell a good story when tony actually puts him in a story. Their promos together were so damn good, and the match told a great story with trying to make mjf seem like a baby face just to swerve us in the end with regal. I swear, sometimes i think you hate on Mox just to hate him.
Moxley's so cringe and tryhard and middle school edgy it's very easy to hate on him.
You're right he puts on a good match and story WHEN HE WANTS! He does not do that night in and night out
Say what you want about Moxley but the guy has been good for AEW. He did his job and got the belt to MJF amid all the fallout with Punk and The Elite
