Hello sweet Renee, Two things I love about you… 1.) you keep such a tidy kitchen while cooking. 2.) you scrape out your bowls, leaving nothing behind! 🩷 I love watching your videos! xo Susan from Southern California
I, too, love the bowl scraping. Drives me up a tree whenever I see anybody opening a can or dumping a bowl, and I see there's plenty left when they set it down.
I have done this only buying discounted items in 2022 and in 2023 I didn’t buy any food and ate the food from my freezer and garden. the money I saved those two years I’m taking my dream trip to Ireland this summer from the money I have saved from just eating from my stockpile.
I just did this, too. I have 7 kids, so I have four chest freezers, 2 large and 2 small. Not to mention a garage freezer fridge combo and my freezer/fridge in the house. I have to organize them at least once a year because things tend to get put in the wrong place and get lost. I have a freezer dedicated to beef/deer, one for pork, one for poultry, and one for prepackaged easy to heat up food. I'm trying to replace the store bought convenient foods with homemade. It makes me feel good to feed my family homemade food. Channels like yours always inspire me. Thank you for sharing your time and recipes. I greatly appreciate it. God bless you and your family.
I get tubs the same width of those quart freezer bags so I can sit my flat bags like you have up right like files. Makes it easy to stay in the freezer and sort through!
I just organized our standup freezer and did the inventory. I purchased a magnetic white board sheet ( not board) and I write down all the items by row. I used a dry erase marker. I have one shelf dedicated to frozen vegetables, one row for freezer meals, one for beef, one for poultry, one for pork&fish. The door has juice, butter, cheese
I kept telling you to put your gloves on! lol Wow, you sure are stocked up and have some beautiful pot roast! You could pick something from your freezer and do once a week meal for us! Thanks for sharing and so glad you are still doing great on quitting smoking!
Good job Renae and John that's hard work but exciting finding things you had forgotten about loved seeing you both ❤️ Shelby you have really worked hard putting up all that food🙂
Hi Renea and John, we have our freezers stocked on a much smaller scale, but I have to go thru them from time to time to reorganize and remember all the stuff I have. I need to make a list of everything! You guys are the best!!! 🥰
I used to have a chest freezer, and I hated it. It was too hard to defrost, plus I'm only 5 feet, was so hard to get food out. Finely got myself an upright freezer, self defrost. Best investment I ever made. No defrosting, yay! I've seen on other UTube channels that they use either reusable bags or boxes to organize all their meats. One box for chicken, one box for beef, etc. I use baskets in mine. Just a suggestion. 💛 from 🇨🇦
Hi Renee. I really enjoy your videos and learning so much. Being a retired chef, I still believe every day is a learning experience. I'm very much like you, going through my upright freezer. I kind of giggled to myself thinking your freezer needs defrosting. 😊 keep the videos coming. 😊❤
I just cleaned my freezer yesterday, found food i did not know we had. My husband was not home to reach stuff on bottom so out came the bbq tongs. Glad to have that job done
You are such a a delight. I am in the process of doing a freezer challenge. I just got too much food. Now that I do videos. I seemed to have an abundance of overstock. I hope to get my upright freezer soon. I do not like our deep freezer.
Nothing like a freezer full of food. Sent our daughter home in Florida with a 1/4 of farm raised beef, deer meat and 5 lbs of fish. Now that’s a freezer full❤😊
Renea. I got wore out just watching you. You are so inspiring.!!!! When weather warms up a little, hubby & I are doing this. We can barely close our freezer. No idea what is on the bottom or in the middle.
Thank you Renee, Your videos and recipes are the best!!! You have taught me how to bake the most soft and delicious yeast rolls and my family thanks you for this!!! ❤❤❤
We have 6 freezers and I know exactly where every single things is and in what freezer; a place for everything and everything in its place. Time to defrost that bugger.😉
I would love to see you challenge yourself by not buying any meat and only using what’s in your deep freeze. It’s so easy to go and buy food, cook it, freeze and forget it what you’ve actually need to use first.
Thanks for the good tips! I never thought to mash the bananas. I just put the whole banana in the bag to freeze. Also mashed potato I didn’t realize I can freeze those too!
Wow! PERFECT timing! I told hubby I wanted to organize our freezers and boom heres your video of doin that! Thanks for ideas on how to organize them!! Stay safe! 💞🙏🏼💞
I’m 4’11 ok and when I saw you tip over one leg up I thought how many times have I done that as I’m short and on my part both feet in the air. Need some one to lift me up by my feet so I can reach down lol. Just funny in a way. I have a long chest freezer and it needs defrosted but another time. It’s not horrible yet. I keep stuff in cooler zipper bags I also got an up right freezer. We are set for a long time as well.
I pulled out my leftover ham on the bone from Christmas & my ham hock. Every January I do a huge stock pot of my grandma’s ham & bean soup(takes 8lbs of Northern Beans) with fried dough. I can up 10 quarts, then make baskets up for family, neighbors & my husband’s workmates. My mom had 5 other siblings. Pap worked for the railroad. Gram would make up the huge pot(IDK how to make a small batch!) & fried dough (salted for dipping & sugared for dessert) to feed all of us. Only my aunt & I can make it. I’ve never seen a recipe like it either. Of course everyone eats way more fried dough then soup.😂
Thanks Renea it was neat to see someone clean out their freezer, it would definitely inspire me to do the same if it wasn’t for the fact that my one and only upright freezer somehow became unplugged and it’s a 30yr old freezer which freezes to -30F but unfortunately because I live in an apartment it’s in a closet and there is no alarm to alert us that it’s warming up. We only go into it when needed to restock our refrigerator freezer so it’s not often. I was away visiting my daughter when my husband went into the closet and discovered a pool of water on the floor! He had no idea where the water was coming from until he opened the freezer door and was hit with a terrible smell and a freezer with almost totally thawed food! We have no idea how long the freezer had been unplugged and it was packed tight with all kinds of meat and some veggies and fruit and a few homemade meals. Nothing was salvageable because we couldn’t know how long it had been thawing and since everything on top was warm and totally thawed everything had to go to the garbage. My husband ended up having to take that day off work to clean up the mess! Then he washed out the freezer and floor and sanitizer everything. When I got home a few days later the freezer had been plugged back in and there was no smell or anything my husband did an incredible job of cleaning everything for me. Since then we have purchased from Amazon a special gadget that has an alarm on it and a part of it goes inside the freezer and the thermometer is put on the outside of the door which showed the room temperature and also shows the temperature inside the freezer. If the freezer ever climbs above freezing the alarm will sound much like the modern day freezers. This freezer is a workhorse and I pray I never have to replace it because these were built to last unlike most of the ones today which require replacing every 5-10yrs. I was so shocked when hubby first told me I thought the freezer had stopped working altogether and was very relieved to discover it was unplugged and I was still concerned that when he finally plugged it back in that it may not work but surprisingly it did. Yesterday we went to Costco and filled it full of meat and veggies. We had partially been filling it with sales on meat from our local grocery store but yesterday was the day when we were able to have it stocked back up to capacity. We got everything from chicken wings to pork ribs, pork tenderloin, ground beef and every veggies available. So it will keep me busy for awhile because I plan to can a lot of the pork tenderloin in jars which makes an incredible pulled pork sandwich straight from the jar! Hubby loves it. I’m also going to be cooking some of the ground beef and turning it into canned taco meat for a fast summer meal we usually make a salad and then slightly warm the taco meat and put it on top and instant taco salad which I just love! I also make chicken fajitas and can the chicken breast strips with sweet peppers and onions in a chicken fajitas sauce and it’s amazing for another quick meal. Heat and serve with wraps and some shredded cheese and lettuce and diced tomatoes. That’s how I do our fast food meals in jars and find it’s fantastic for hubby when I’m away at my daughter’s helping out. I’m busy when I’m home canning but it’s meals that are on a rotation and don’t stay canned long but there’s never a worry about food spoilage or freezer not functioning or food remaining in the fridge past it’s prime. Hubby has been loving this and of course I’ve been canning chicken soup and beef soup which is also a dump and warm meal for him. It’s helping him stay away from those nasty fast food restaurants that have questionable ingredients. He knows that when he eats my meals he’s getting a ton of nourishment and nothing his body doesn’t need. I’ve also canned beef chunks (roast beef that I’ve cut into chunks and raw packed) it couldn’t be easier to pressure can and it creates its own juice and the meat is fork tender it’s amazing! He can use it to create quite a few different meals like opening two or three other jars and making himself a homemade beef veggie soup with the entire can of beef and juices with a jar of carrots & peas and a jar of potatoes instant hungry man’s chunky soup with a spoonful of better then boullion beef broth. Anyway just some ways I switch our dependency from freezer and refrigerator to fast food meals. 🥰❤️🇨🇦🍁🙏🏻

I used some of the 10 lbs of burger from the 20% off sale to do meatballs, flash froze them, then sealed them in portions. Last night, I got 6 out, defrosted them & tossed them in the oven for meatball subs. So quick & nice to have handy! We do up burger patties (my husband puts all his spices in them) flash freeze them. Another quick thing to grab for a meal.
Well Renee and John we cleaned out our deep freezes too are upright and the one that lays down that's a job well I enjoyed watching you all clean y'alls out and I'm glad you got it done God bless you sweetie see you in your next regulations on quit smoking I'm proud of you
You are awesome, wow such a strong woman getting your family taken care of ,us women are strong individual's taking care of our families and friends 🥰🥧🌶️🥒🍅🥕💞 love is the key, always 💞

Im learning to can the meat that I find at a good deal... now I dont worry that I will loose a lot of food in the freezer..
Hello my beautiful friend now that is my kind of freezer lol lol oh yes we forget sometimes what we have and use it up. Love the idea of canning those roast they will be very tasty. love yall stay safe and stay warm and God bless
I’ve had bad luck with chest freezers. Both died & weren’t very old. I stocked up on the annual 20% off fresh meat sale, divided it all up & sealed it. Had to clean my freezer out last night & organize it so everything would fit bc I only have my side by side fridge freezer. I dehydrate big bags of mixed veggies/green beans so they don’t take up space. It’s easy to toss them in soup.
I have always preferred an upright freezer as compared to a chest type. I have had both and it seems that things just get buried and forgotten about in a chest freezer. I always hated how the ice would build up! You have such a great variety of different types of meat, veggies, stock, etc. I’m wondering if maybe it might be a good idea to always have your vacuum sealer at the ready when putting stuff in the freezer?
i wish i had a chest frezzer--my brother sort of understands--i told him we could spilt the room --he is thinking about it--i have a bigger freezer then he does but it is too small for when you get huge deals on meat --till you can can it up--hope he will come around!!!
Hello Renae, I really need to organize my little chest freezer. What i need to know is how long can u keep chicken broth in the freezer? I have alot of it. I don`t throw anything away. It`s just me!
Do you ever have a problem with your peppers getting their smell into other foods in your freezer? No matter how much I wrap them , it over powers the other stuff . Great organizing ! Love your channel!
Hello Rena, i think if you had a upright freezer you could keep it organize better. I have a up right ad it’s hard to keep that one straight. Just a through. My friend have two chest and can’t find anything in it, food stays in there and gets freezer burn, waist of money.
Renea! Do the gloves help your hands not freeze??? I need to get a pair!! Your freezers look as full as mine girl!!! Sending y’all lots of love from Biloxi, Mississippi 🌺🌺🌺
But you need to get the stuff out of the bottom and use that up first. How are you gonna get to all those nice meats that you're packing on the bottom in that box?
I'm awful about using things from the freezers in a timely manner. I need to do better. I have 2 upright freezers, 1 chest freezer and 2 refrigerators with freezers....and a small beverage refrigerator. Waaaay too much food for just 2 people. how do you organize your freezers so that you are constantly using the oldest items first? I have yet to figure that out.
I mean blah, blah, but I can see that as being a risk. Mom and Dad used to buy up Turkey's after Thanksgiving. My friend laughed at me [them], I pulled out hamburger That was so old. Turkey's mostly freezer burned. What's the oldest date of thing you found? ha
So proud of you that you stopped smoking. Good job. Congratulations to you ❤

Renee. How do you keep your fingernails so beautiful with all this cooking and work you do!!❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on quitting smoking. It is very difficult, but it will pay dividends in your health
what delicious looking treats and meals ready to go! You are a force! That’s a lot of accomplishments tucked in your freezers!
I get tubs the same width of those quart freezer bags so I can sit my flat bags like you have up right like files. Makes it easy to stay in the freezer and sort through!

Hi Renea and John! I just did my freezers in December. It’s a chore, but feels great when done.
Have a blessed day!

We just experienced an ice storm eight days in the house thanks to all the preping videos I was prepared
I have 2 deer and 1 pig at the processor’s. I need to do this…….after I drink coffee and watch you 😜
Thanks for the motivation
I just cleaned my freezer yesterday, found food i did not know we had. My husband was not home to reach stuff on bottom so out came the bbq tongs. Glad to have that job done

It’s like Christmas when I go into my freezers.. just never know what I’ll find, but trying to eat thru it to get the older stuff out.
Just a tip: we store foods in cloth bags that are diff color in order to color code our freezer foods: green for veg, etc
I been doing this very thing myself and I have really been going thru them and my big pantry over last few months using up stuff.
I need to clean out my freezers and come up with a database of what I have. Too cold right now, though!
Renea. I got wore out just watching you. You are so inspiring.!!!! When weather warms up a little, hubby & I are doing this. We can barely close our freezer. No idea what is on the bottom or in the middle.

Good Morning ☀️
Good morning!
You need your vacuum sealer in an easy an d visible so you don’t forget to do it. Good job on a messy day!
We have 6 freezers and I know exactly where every single things is and in what freezer; a place for everything and everything in its place.
Time to defrost that bugger.😉
It is way to cold to defrost it right now.
I would love to see you challenge yourself by not buying any meat and only using what’s in your deep freeze. It’s so easy to go and buy food, cook it, freeze and forget it what you’ve actually need to use first.
But, wise to stay stocked up in the days we are living in.
So awesome u quit smoking! My daughter, who just turned 40 is coming up on 1 year at the end of January. Good for u Renea!!!!! 🥰
Thanks for the good tips! I never thought to mash the bananas. I just put the whole banana in the bag to freeze. Also mashed potato I didn’t realize I can freeze those too!

Organizing is always a struggle. Oh hun, while it was empty was the perfect time to scrape that frost off the sides & get rid of it.
I will do that in summer when I can open the door and toss it outside to melt.
Oh yes and the pantry app would be a great chit chat video showing your peeps how to use it .😊
Awesome
I’m 4’11 ok and when I saw you tip over one leg up

Hi Renea and John that's a lot of food from last
G'day from Melbourne..defrosting a chest freezer..a big pain..love my self defrosting freezer..regards Karolyn Melbourne Australia
Make us a soup, my Bestie. It's cold in Georgia 🙈😄💐💙🙏🇺🇸
Hi Renea and John. Thanks for a look in your freezers. You got a lot of food that you've been freezing. I love a stand up but hate a chest freezer cause food gets buried. You could diffintly do a freezer challenge with all that. Lots of delicious food!
❤Hello friend.!!
Can you show us your market stand ! So curious. Thank you.❤!
That ice on your chest freezer box, is like knocking the ice/snow out of your wheel wells on your car! ha. You know what I mean.
Yes it is.. Haha.
Freezer burned meats and veg can be used for broth and stocks. I agree with you about the glass shelves in upright freezer, air flow was better with the metal wire shelves.
Loved hearing you use the term 'extra fluff' my grandfather used that term. What a nice memory you gave me!
This is what I need to do.
I've seen ppl use sturdy totes in their chest freezers so they can just grab the handles & pull the whole thing out. Your freezers are beautiful Renea❤
Well Renee and John we cleaned out our deep freezes too are upright and the one that lays down that's a job well I enjoyed watching you all clean y'alls out and I'm glad you got it done God bless you sweetie see you in your next regulations on quit smoking I'm proud of you
Renea, I have the same freezer as you, I use Vaseline on the seal & I don’t have the ice build up anymore I think it helps with air leaks
Great idea! I must try that!
Good morning have a wonderful day
You are awesome, wow such a strong woman getting your family taken care of ,us women are strong individual's taking care of our families and friends 🥰🥧🌶️🥒🍅🥕💞 love is the key, always 💞
I’ve been going crazy doing freezer meals, canning and freeze drying. It’s just me in the household, but I want to be prepared for when my grand kids come over, or if SHTF and my daughter needs anything. I could live off my stash for over a year!
Let's see a month pantry/freezer challenge
I think it is great that you have your freezers well stocked.... my worry is what happens if the power goes out and you loose all that food.... I speak from experience, my power didnt go out but the freezer stopped working and I was out of town for a week... when I got home and realized the freezer was down, it was too late to save anything.... so now I dont have a freezer besides the one on my frige.... Im learning to can the meat that I find at a good deal... now I dont worry that I will loose a lot of food in the freezer..
I would be a canning son of a gun. But if it is winter I would just store it outside.
Hello my beautiful friend now that is my kind of freezer lol lol oh yes we forget sometimes what we have and use it up. Love the idea of canning those roast they will be very tasty. love yall stay safe and stay warm and God bless

My partner can fix (mildly) freezer burned meat parts by cooking them in butter. Tastes like nothing happened!
I've been saying I need to empty my two chest freezers and make a list of what I have in them.
Should have picked that frost out, butter knives or flat head screwdrivers in hot water, slide in the edge of frost and freezer, falls off in chunks
😊
i wish i had a chest frezzer--my brother sort of understands--i told him we could spilt the room --he is thinking about it--i have a bigger freezer then he does but it is too small for when you get huge deals on meat --till you can can it up--hope he will come around!!!
Hello Renae, I really need to organize my little chest freezer. What i need to know is how long can u keep chicken broth in the freezer? I have alot of it. I don`t throw anything away. It`s just me!
Hey John.... :-)
You should do the pantry challenge
What is the pantry challenge?
Hi Renea from Maine! Thank you for your video today. I'm curious as to what type of food saver sealer you use. Thank you😊
would it help if you drew out a schematic of the things in there like on a board above. Like a rough sketch to pique memory Cells?
Do you ever have a problem with your peppers getting their smell into other foods in your freezer? No matter how much I wrap them , it over powers the other stuff . Great organizing ! Love your channel!
Not at all.
Hello Rena, i think if you had a upright freezer you could keep it organize better. I have a up right ad it’s hard to keep that one straight. Just a through. My friend have two chest and can’t find anything in it, food stays in there and gets freezer burn, waist of money.
I do have a upright freezer.
Renea! Do the gloves help your hands not freeze??? I need to get a pair!! Your freezers look as full as mine girl!!! Sending y’all lots of love from Biloxi, Mississippi 🌺🌺🌺
Yes they do.
Hi.how.are.you❤❤
But you need to get the stuff out of the bottom and use that up first. How are you gonna get to all those nice meats that you're packing on the bottom in that box?
I get right into those boxes and get what I need.
looks so good I gotta do my big freezer too ugg
You’re scaring me! I’ve wanted to buy a small freezer, but now I’m afraid I’ll go crazy and stock up so much I won’t know what I have.
We did our freezer a few weeks ago, and 2 days later, it died😅.
What do you use to write on your packages. My permanent pen smears. I get so frustrated.
That's probably my least favorite chore ever x 3 big deep freezers. 😉
BAHAHA you are a hoot
I mean blah, blah, but I can see that as being a risk. Mom and Dad used to buy up Turkey's after Thanksgiving. My friend laughed at me [them], I pulled out hamburger That was so old. Turkey's mostly freezer burned. What's the oldest date of thing you found? ha
I have a few vacuumed sealed chicken that is 3 years old. But still good and no freezer burn.
Defrost that thing when you have it empty
I don't get it! Why would you empty out and go through everything in that freezer BUT not clean the dang thing out?
It’s probably too cold in the room to defrost the freezer. That may have to wait for spring or summer.
I have to clean it out in the summer. It is very cold in my sunporch right now.
Yikes….waste by overlooking things
