Thanks for sharing ; I was just there yesterday and you can still see some remains from the jungle land from the train ride. I am glad you captured this on video

Came here earlier today. I was about to go down to Jungle Land but I noticed they had added a new (Or Old) sign alongside the Timbertown Trails sign that said something along the lines of "Historic Jungle Land." The entrance was shut but I've heard rumor that they reincorporated some older elements back in.. Though it'll never be the same without the humans being boiled or that caricature of a narrator..

Jasper's Banjo I was there last week (and have a walk-thru coming up). Jungle Land was closed when I was there too, but supposedly it will reopen. Alice in Wonderland was open! The park seems to be reincorporating some of their original attractions, and that was good to see.

It's always great to see them returning to their roots.. They must be doing some sort of refurbishment on this area. It would be truly great to see they brought back the animated animals and the soundtrack. And maybe bring back everything that made ghost town great while they're at it

When did this part of the park shut down and where in the park was it located?

It was one of my favorite attractions. It's currently at the far back of the Timbertown area. Jungle Land debuted in 1960 and remained largely unchanged until Six Flags rebranded it as the Looney Tunes National Park in 2005. It wasn't open on our 2016 trip and had been stripped of the Looney Tunes theming.

Kind of yes. I was there a few years ago, and it was open for the first time since I was like little, I mean like 2-5, and I go almost every year, but even then it was just a trail that was Looney Tune themed, I remember there being giant rubber duck esque Daffy Ducks in the water. I was about 14-15 and I noticed it was open, some parts are still missing or broken, but they brought some of the animals back and opened the trail back up. I'm now 17 and also unaware if if is still like this as I haven't checked

@@tepidtooth8539 , thanks I don't remember looney tunes, I remember there being robot alligators in water, along with gorillas etc along with jungle noises coming from speakers. I always loved it as a kid, haven't been there since the 80's, I was gonna take the family there this summer, we will see.

Agreed, But they did bring back a lot of the animals and put them back on the trail such as the hippos

Max O'Connell I was unaware of this. I was there 5 years ago after a 20 year hiatus and began lamenting the destruction of Storytown, especially Jungleland. I used to go every year with my family to the Lake George region and always visited Storytown USA and Great Escape after name change. The name change made sense, but getting rid of the storybook theme after Six Flags took over was wrong. This is a theme park. Keep a section of the park Storybook themed and a portion Jungle themed. They call it The Great Escape: A Six Flags Theme Park and ripped apart two themed areas. The name can change, but the charm didn’t have to. Anyway, I’m glad to hear that they have some of the animatronic animals back.

They brung back the whale, they kept some old rides, and some others I can't think of
