You do NOT use scripts to anchor parts. Nor use welds or constraints unless for rigging or physics.
Yes, that's the difference between a graphic/UI/web designer and a programmer, and I prefer designing than making scripts because it makes my brain fire. 🗿

I created a game with purely free models, but then I realized that the map was horrible and that it was obvious that everything was from the toolbox. In the end I did a mega map update and removed almost all free models in the game

Ah yes, the toolbox, it's always so magic when you see a ton of things that are all(mostly) functional and beautiful until you realize they all lag the game so much and nothing is any original

pretty much every time i use it its only to get stuff thats actually useful and i usually remplace all the wait() functions with no numbers with runservice.stepped:wait() to reduce lag, and then i always get hit with a stupid model that has incomplete scripts or a stolen asset with those "failed to decompile script" screaming that its stolen
Fr as a roblox scrupter I can relate I actually started out like this but one day I said no more of this shit and actually got to work and got some education on roblox studio scripting ajd building
When I just started learning studio, I made a game with like 10 free models. Luckily none of them had viruses.
I remember that for December 2023 I made a game about zombies that invaded Chile and it had only objects stolen from the toolbox, we finally canceled it, we currently make games with effort even though we don't know how to program xd

not even gonna lie, Theres this one chill dude who told me about his game, it was made with free models. I check it out, and it's like an extremely well made game. I enjoyed playing it, Still not finished. But alot of free model games can be good. (I can't even access studio, so I wouldn't know if free models are a good idea for a game)

They were also snatching away games like roblox race or smth that was in the roblox studio lobby and called it their work.
Everything is fine with using free models until there's a pretty high chance you'll encounter a 'backdoor' (gamepass, hacks, etc. showing up).

Yes, I made my first game in Roblox studio, I was very enthusiastic, but when I wanted to make the gameplay, I was confused about the script and looked for tutorials on TH-cam, and yes, the easiest one to make is the Obby game because there are many models on the market along with scripts too.😅

Toolbox isnt that bad I mean never look at the front page and youre good. It has some high quality models and I only used the toolbox and chatgpt to create my game and it looks pretty good. (Idk how to script make tutorial? i subbed)
whats the game ( i use chatgpt and toolbox too they actually turn decent )
1. Always check the scripts it has
2. If the model has more than 2 favorites it can be trusted a little more
3. There is an option on the model's page in toolbox which allows you to view the contents of the model, look for anything sus
4. To avoid the model looking out of place, polish it up a bit
5. If you see a model you like, the creator might have more models you like
6. Avoid using them frequently
7. Use models that doesn't have a script disclaimer
if you want to make any game thats actually not a piece of trash then you need to script, unless you want 100 errors

Using the assistant is actually helpful to learn how to do stuff and do it faster. I learned how to use tweens and remoteevents from it. Try to do it yourself if you can to memorize it, and remember that it is able to make mistakes (I got stuck for a few days since I didn't know that the player was always broadcasted regardless)

Dude the part where it got popular was too real, I made a TD game and put so many weeks of my life into it, and I think its pretty decent, then some other guy made this TD game that is trash and uses tutorials all over the place, and it got double the visits of mine in the SECOND day... Like bruh.

I use free models still but i have some scripting experience. I've been updating morphs in my Descendants RP game and my Descendants Roleplay game is attracting a lot of people in it everyday since Descendants The Rise of Red has been released. I created Descendants Roleplay game after Descendants 3 got released. I used free models when making the game.

"Commenting is free" is a big, fat lie. People nowadays only think of money as curency, but totally forgot that our time on this world is limited. Time is infinetely more valuable than money, as you can easily earn money back, but can earn your time.
