New Amtrak GP38-3 Work Extra along the Shore Line! | ALMTrains

Description: On a Rainy Tuesday in March, An Amtrak Work Extra was called to take 4 side dump ballast cars from the Saybrook Wye to Groton’s Midway Yard. Two of Amtrak’s New GP38-3’s that recently arrived on the property were assigned to move the cars. We see them take the cars and then follow them to New London. Two Days later, the engines were making a move to Cedar Hill from Midway. We catch them in New London, then Old Saybrook where a CDOT Test Extra arrived into the station from New Haven while the Geeps pass by on Track 3. We finally catch them in Westbrook & Branford.
