An absolutely classic game from Lasker. Very much enjoy your channel & analysis of these classic games highlighting a tactical or strategical maneuver that every good player & chess fan will enjoy & should know. Merry Christmas to you & keep up the good work. Cheers!

Good stuff. Thanks for these classical games from the old champions. And 2 days ago was actually Lasker birthday, so good stuff

  • @altonbrek

Wow! I didn't know Lasker invented that double bishop sacrifice.

  • @gitexercise9021

I love what you said about not seeing the reality on the board. I think this comes from years of hearing "control the center" so you just do that without thinking deeply. Very interesting game!

  • @cosenbaughful

Totally agree with you, my friend; we should also look at lop-sided games where one player completely outweighs the opponent.

  • @AlkhaidarAbdulpatta

He was ahead of his time

  • @GutGerman

    Thank you & Happy christmas

Many thanks indeed for your videos, they are very interesting, and remember us, how fantastic were Chess players like Lasker, Capablanca

Funny enough I did a double bishop sacrifice in a blitz game today and the guy ended up hanging mate in 3 if I sacked the queen too.

  • @yogi9631

As a L plater, I haven't watched that many chess videos. So I never heard of Lasker and many other great GM of the past and present.

  • @MrGyges

    V enjoyable. Thank you

  • @KennyHenrick

    thank you very much

  • @iakona23

Great game and great analysis. Thank you. There is a book by Colin Crouch called How to Defend in Chess, where Crouch goes over a lot of Lasker and Petrosian games, but clearly Lasker knew how to attack as well!
