Followed this setup exactly and got PC-88 running in Quasi88, but I tried to duplicate PC-88 in Retroarch for Xbox and it got stuck on the annoying “How many files 0-15” OS message. There is no apparent way to reset from PC-88 menu on Xbox to reload this disk in drive. Any suggestions? PC-98 worked perfectly for me on Retroarch Xbox.
Using Retroarch on different platforms will have different issues. For example, I was never able to get Windows 98 to run on Android using Retroarch. On other SBCs, the N64 emulator wouldn't work on a Orange Pi PC.
@@Ace1000ks The video was really helpful, so no worries. I think I am close to getting PC-88 to boot on Xbox Retroarch, going to try some different bios rom file name combinations see if that boots the disk.
Trying to make this work on the Linux Steam version of RetroArch. It doesn't seem to recognize the game file despite managing to boot Quasi88 just fine.
i was an idoit and realized that the pc-88 emulator came with roms installed now when i try to play it says halt and nothing else i try to restart and it says the same thing@@Ace1000ks

i was trying to play the game but i was missing the BIOS, and your tutorial helped me a lot thanks.
Thank you very much for the BIOS. This was the only thing I needed.
You are welcome!
Worked like a charm, thanks a lot.
Thank you so much...it works great! I just needed to also change Basic Mode to V1S to make the roms work!

This tutorial was using Retroarch on a Windows 10 based PC, not on a Xbox, so I can't help you there.

@@Ace1000ks kinda late comment but make sure you extracted the files from their zip formats
@@Matt6616 Even later comment... but thanks, the zips were my problem.
Works on mobile but it's quite a hassle to switch disks whenever I tried playing Ys II
Cool.

I didn't know Retroarch was on Steam. Perhaps, you should look like a FAQ about Steam Retroarch.
Thanks so much brother
Sure, no problem.

You need to get the bios files and put them in the right folders as shown on the video.
