- This massive 9,000 sqft mansion sitting on 6 acres, was built in 1973. and today, 50 years later, it sits completely abandoned with the belongings of its previous inhabitants.
the house has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and a 10 car garage.
the future of this incredible home is uncertain.

Beautiful woodwork. Glad it got all cleaned up and maybe can get sold now. What a beautiful home it is. The original owners had a vision but sadly it was lost for them.

It's a beautiful place but I always makes me so angry that people go in and trash houses like that. I have never understood why or what they get out if doing those things. People who go in and trash homes vandalize like this one, are people who have no respect for themselves or others, have never had to work to earn what they have therefore have no appreciation for the home and have a sense of entitlement and feel like everyone owes them something or is just down right jealous of places like this and destroys it because they feel if they can't have a place like this then no one should.

This house is spectacular, Ethan! Incredibly spacious with gorgeous wood and ironwork. I can't believe you found a death certificate in the kitchen. My heart goes out to the people who once lived here.

They may have not just walked away. They may have all died tragically or gotten arrested or bankrupt, went back to their homeland and were not allowed to return, etc. I do wish Ethan dug deeper to reveal the backstory.

They could have died and the family might be fighting over the property in court. It might have been sold to a developer, who plans to tear it down.. who knows... could be a lot of things... but it's a mystery for sure

Wow this is probably my favourite house you’ve done! It is so magnificent and I love how there’s still furniture inside so you can kind of envision what it looked like in its prime. It’s also just very sad tho. I wonder what the circumstances were that the family just left everything they had inside. Very unfortunate.

Well, someone, I'm assuming the owner/occupant, died in the home for starters. He did find a death certificate.

There's this wonderful thing about being human and that is we all have differing tastes, which makes the world a wonderful mix of different types of people, different styles of buildings and different cultures. Regardless of the 'eccentric' castle style on the exterior - the inside was spacious and gorgeous with the wood detailing.

The tenets were evicted. Why they left everything behind? Im guessing their possessions were seized. Cuz idk why else u would leave behind such valuable things
That house is epic! The house is trashed but you could clean it and move right in. It still has all of it's origional features. Loved the tiling in the house and the railings.

This is by far the best (and most heartbreaking) house you've ever done. It's absolutely stunning. Crazy how everything was left behind. Except why is the fridge missing from the kitchen? Congrats on the write-up in McLean's.

If the house is th eone I believe it is than Alvin Wang owned it and lived there. He died there... he had married several grown children and several grandchildren which lived with him. He was originally from China so when he passed away in 2015 the home was abandoned in 2019 by his children.They took only what they wanted and left the rest. The reason the home is abandoned is a dispute over his money and estate. He was quite rich. The table you saw in the area near the pool was a dining room and the round table is traditional for Chinese families, the center piece turns because that's where the food is placed and instead of reaching over each other they just turn the inner table to get what they want. They don't believe in just forward facing at meals. they like to be able to see everyone at dinner, or whatever meal they're sharing.
wow, so the owner was 20 years old, the obituary says he was born in 94.
Finally some kind of explanation - thanks a lot. I hope that they will solve everything so that someone can live there!
Wow! I love the interior of that house. I hope someone buys and restores this house. The wood work is amazing, the floor plan is unique, the pool is unreal, with some repairs, new paint colors and a few updates it would be amazing. Im not sure what to do with the exterior though.

Beautiful home. This is probably not doable but I wish there was some kind of private company or organization in each City/State that could handle and take care of abandoned homes like this within a reasonable amount of time so that they could be put back on the marketplace to be available for sale. There are so many people who need housing and would have loved to live here and it's such a shame to see these beautiful homes that were built with such care deteriorate and be trashed.
This could make for a really great wedding/events hall or venue, or some type of bed n breakfast more like a weekend resort. Idk it looks dumber typed than how I'm envisioning it. The sad reality would be the price to host or rent it out. Reminds me of a line in Jurassic Park when John says to the lawyer JP isnt only for the rich, it's for everyone. @@ItsLaurenE Yes that's a great idea you mentioned to host weddings, run a bed and breakfast and events and other things. I would still like to see some of these homes sold to people too but making them something they can afford, not just millionaires and billionaires. I know what you mean about how it seems really logical and do-able when you are thinking about it in your mind as opposed to writing it down. Seeing the facts and possible costs staring at us on paper makes things seem unrealistic. Your ideas are definitely not dumb. I felt the same thing after I posted my comment but I think our ideas are good ones and should be started even if the ideas don't have momentum at first. I think what gets me too is the price it would cost for people to pay to enjoy it. If only that part could be changed however those in charge always seem to be rich and want to block good ideas and good people. They always want to make a profit and raise prices so high. That is what caused these people to move out of their homes in the first place. Maybe the right team of people can come together who are not so interested in money and making a profit. They could handle details as they go along and figure out the details. Or better yet the Rich people wouldn't be in charge at all. People like us would be. Wow it's something awful when we are so used to not being the ones who control and run things. We always have to put our plans and dreams aside. That's terrible when you think about it. That chandelier is just absolutely gorgeous. This place should be bought and refurbished and remodeled. There is no shortage of square footage in that monster.

And I agree with you, it is unbelievable that people think they have the right to go in and trash a place. I actually have relatives that would do that sort of thing. Jealous bastards!!

This house is amazing!!! The round table with revolving center was impressive. The randomly placed gas cans and propane tanks in different rooms were a bad sign.

Do you ever feel the urge to just stay and clean up? I feel that urge from this side of watching. Super sad to me that whatever happened they obviously left things of importance. I would bring a file and file all their paperwork and clean it up.

who knows, rich people can also lose their many fast...the fact that they just left the place like this means they didnt have money to do literally anything with it. and seeling these type of houses is not easy thing to do, so the only thing possible is to abbadon it...

That was amazing, totally in the top 3 explores. I'm glad it's being watched now because there is some incredible salvage in there. I don't think at all it was left that way, it was trashed by intruders. It could easily be fixed inside and livable and the outside could have the exterior redone to something beautiful no problem.

This is definitely my all time favorite house. Just a note about the round table in the lower level. I'm pretty sure the center circle is a lazy Susan. I've seen another table like that and that is how it was designed.

OM Gosh!! This 'Castle' was Freaking Astounding!! I feel almost splendidly intoxicated having taken it all in! Incredible barely scratches the surface in describing it. It wasn't even difficult to look past the disturbing mess, since there was such strong, magnificent architectural details to focus on! I couldn't even imagine trying to live in a place that size, but man it would be fun trying! It is a real Fairytale place, inside and out!! 🤩If I suddenly won a huge lottery, I really think I would try to find this one and obtain it, provided it was for sale! Epic Explore! 😎✌️

Wow! So interesting. Without the belongings broken and thrown about the interior is majestic! There is nothing cheap in that house. The woodwork, the floors, even all of the railings had to be custom and quite a lot of them. I’ve never seen bedrooms as huge as the two masters? The downstairs one seemed more feminine and the upstairs much more masculine. The large round table in the basement perhaps was used for poker tournaments or something with the handy bar so close by. I’ve never seen an indoor pool that huge in a private home. Really really cool explore. I hope they don’t tear it down. The outside could use a bit of TLC. Why would someone just leave a death certificate lying around I wonder. I think it’s a bit over the top for me to live in but there has to be someone somewhere rich enough to renovate. What a home - beautiful inside and out!
I was amazedt that there were dozens of bottles of wine in that wine room. Judging from all the Gucci and Prada boxes scattered around you know that whoever lived there wasn't buying cheap wine, so there was probably 10's if not 100's of thousands of dollars of wine left in that room. Very strange and odd that whoever trashed the place didn't steal it. I'd love to know more about the last owner and why they left in such an apparent rush and left so much behind, did they die?

Easily the most surreal and exciting explore of yours I’ve ever seen! I would agree that it’s likely some “bad explorers” who had done the graffiti and damage… I love your respect in your exploring, closing doors, respecting personal info, not showing docs on camera, etc. Some of these make wish I had a few hundred million to just buy and refurbish these freaky mansions! I wasn’t surprised at the roof damage in the pool area of this one - any flat roof is a no-no for standing water to find its’ way inside! Keep up the good work - your explores are great fun to watch!

Hi Ethan, this place was really gorgeous. All the beautiful wood throughout. Wow. I would love to hear the original owners story on why a 🏰 castle in Canada. I do not like the castle look, but that’s the beauty of having the bucks to build anything you want. That place was huge. Indoor & outdoor pool. That’s richy rich. I really want that beautiful round table with the lazy susan. What a perfect table for a large family(which I have). Since so much was left, it makes sense they were forced to leave. I wonder what was really left behind before the whoever got in there. As Brandon calls them, the rummage fairies. Take care Ethan

What's most intriguing to me is the backstories we will never know about. The biggest one is where are the relatives that would inherit these abandoned places. And why don't you find places like this on the market if it's tax lean or other reasons?
