Why is decluttering so satisfying? I’ve been doing the Declutter 365 calendar this month. Most of the daily jobs can be done in less than ten minutes, but are so, so satisfying. I purged a heap of junk/paperwork off my desk the other night. It was euphoric. I couldn’t even fall asleep that night because I was still so amped. Why? Weird.
It just feels soooooo good to let go! It’s like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders from the realisation that you really don’t need all those things you kept holding onto. So satisfying because it’s like your body did a detox- but instead of your body it’s your house and instead of your organs it’s your items haha !
You could use a file folder holder for your large pallets and have it set on your desk. Then you would have easy access to them. Love how organized you are!!
Yes, Jessica. Please do the everyday makeup drawer again! I love watching you, and I want to see you USE your products, get your tips (why you USE fingers vs a brush, or what works best with what, etc.) and just spend time with you. And that's a video that shouldn't cost you, lol! 😁
I spotted that Inglot eye palette & my heart leapt a bit!! Back in the day, everyone was so excited about that brand & the versatility of the create-your-own palettes. Maybe someday you could try some more things & do a brand spotlight or a "hits & misses"?? Tell us if they've stood the test of time, with all of the new stuff that's been pumped out since their heyday. 😊
Anyone else have an unexpectedly pleasant/ASMR-type reaction to all the rattling plastic containers as Jess organized the drawers? Oddly satisfying ... 🙄🤔😌
I do that too, it seems so familiar now for them being there when I cook, organized, clean, having breakfast or lunch. It's better for me than watching something else on TV.

I just went through every piece of makeup checking the batch numbers and putting everything in an app to track expiration dates. It also helps me not to double buy on accident. I am also not going to buy backups anymore since they take up way to much room in my stash.

I'm the same way. I feel like I'm more motivated now either at the end of the year or the beginning of the new year compared to many who aren't more motivated til spring for spring cleaning. I just did my closet and while I'm not quite done I've got some bags ready to go to charity. Love that feeling of freshly cleaned/organized areas. And Jessica's videos are the best!

A suggestion, put drawer liner that’s texturized under the drawer compartments to keep the bins from moving so much. This would work especially well for the organizers that are risers or not made specifically for the Alex drawers.

I have noticed a recurring theme with the Alex drawer system. The back of the drawer... Items always seem to get over looked and forgotten back there. Double sliders that allow the drawers to be fully extended would be helpful... Hmmm... Food for thought if i ever make the leap to purchase. Love watching how organised you are!

ok listen, I LOVE these videos, they work. I got all my makeup down to 3 drawers but my main problem was really pens and stationary, not an artist, i just love practicing my handwriting w different pens and trying to find the best pen for myself and ended up w a whole 5 level bookshelf full of notebooks and journals and a whole desk just overflowing w pens and watching Jess make everything nice and pretty I got all those pens down to 192 pens and 1 level on my bookshelf of journals and it feeeeeeeeeeels gooooooood

If you have room on the top of your vanity put the big palette there. That’s what I do and it helps to remind me to use them too. You can put them in an organizer up there too.

The Age of Fabulous yes! I got a pretty one at Walmart for about $4 and it lined my 5 drawer unit with some extra for a “coaster” for my desk top.
