Hey Aakriti, I'm kind of in a similar boat as you, but in reverse. I did medicine from '08 to '13, and now I'm fully into engineering and tech work, though I'm not trying to get a degree. Essentially, I'm kind of doing similarish learning (pursuing from scratch). I totally, totally get how you feel. Your journey is actually very inspiring and makes people like me feel more confident and secure, knowing that there are a good number of people out there who are following their hearts, resisting the peer pressure and FOMO that society in general tries to rub on people's faces. On a positive note, more and more people are actually trying to break these stereotypical barriers and are following their passions. I guess people who initiate change will always have these kinds of frictions. All that matters is whether you are having fun and are happy. Cheers to your work and the journey.😁

Could you please share your experience in how you are managing to get along with your batchmates who are much younger than your age and also the seniors who are younger than you. Is there some sense of generation gap that, just throw some light on that. And how is the behaviour of the teaching faternity with the students who are joining mbbs at much later age, are they welcoming enough... This would be helpful for all those students who are starting there MBBS journey late like at 25+ years of age.

It's human tendency that if they see something different from normal, they get curious and ask lots of if-else questions and the thought process behind that difference. It's correct that no one should poke in other's personal life too much but sometimes it's just curiosity to know new things and get familiar with new possibilities. :)

From my perspective I tell you this, mbbs is a fact based subject... In mbbs you're meant to have good memory to sustain, some of us are bound to go into mbbs because of society, family, got no better option other than mbbs, settlement.. Etc. All I'm trying to say is there are other field which require critical thinking, problem solving other than just remembering vast . I guess you can be that person who's good in other fields like research, teaching or other skills who can give a try to that. Just my personal opinion

Not that you must get married, but you should be aware that as your age progresses , chances of infertility and your child having low IQ increases (eg Down’s syndrome) . You will be reading about it later in your MBBS . Besides , if you remain single without having a child , chances of getting neoplasms like breast CA increases manifold .(due to hyper estrogenic phases) These are just hard facts , difficult to digest by the woke culture .

Shaadi nahi krogi toh baad mai jaake pachtaogi. Lekin tab koi nhi krega shaadi! 30-35 is late but you still can and should marry. Don't waste your remaining youthful years. Life is about experiences, marriage, having kids, etc all are experiences! If you don't like it, you can divorce and stay on ur own coz u r independent woman! But not getting married will cost you hugely in future. After 40 every profession just gets boring because of its repeativity! And moreover if you get the right partner, your mental health will be good. 30-35 is late but you still can and should marry. Don't waste your remaining youthful years. Life is about experiences, marriage, having kids, etc all are experiences! If you don't like it, you can divorce and stay on ur own coz u r independent woman! But not getting married will cost you hugely in future. After 40 every profession just gets boring because of its repeativity!
