So is it better to refrigerate or leave on the counter at 72 degrees which is what an average home is at?

Thank you. I grew a gorgeous eggplant and it was above a fruit bowl including a bunch of bananas. It went bad in 3 days!! Lesson learned. The one in the fridge is still fine
