I have bmwx5 4.4l my car use to do the same I changed the Lombard sensor and took it the freeway and drive it for about 2 to 3 hours and it never happened again but some time on cold start my car does it for few seconds then it's fine. So don't baby sit ur car guys drive them how it will solve ur problem👌
from what I've been told when the temperature is changing alot it's normal to see some condensation coming out of the tailpipe and of course it will be black because ovb you tailpipe is dirty ... that is normal . but if it's looking or leaking while you drive or a massive amounts of white smoke then their is a issue . I asked a buddy who works in a shop thats what he said to me he has a 2017 Chevy cruise and it does it on cold days when idle. not to worry unless it's pouring smoke or creating. trail when you drive no dash lights ? should be fine
Condensation or Chem trails is normal ,the government is dicing your fuel, LOL if its 60 degrees and your producing white smoke ?,possible head,intake leak,blown gasket head gasket, early automatics have vacuum controlled shifts,the diaphragm can rupture sending transmission fluid into the combustion chamber.Its located by the transmission pan,a vacuum line goes up to the carb [ported vacuum]
It works both ways… you can cold start the engine and it can smoke but will dissipate quickly… if its humid outside (rain etc) and you stop on a red light you may get white steam also vut it will dissipate quickly… as long as it dissipates quickly and doesn’t do it 100% of the time… you’ll be fine.
catalytic converter get dirty by oil when it´s cold, more oil gets burn due cold start and PCV valve get stuck, that was my case.- I change type of oil, new pcv valve and new catalytic converter, 3 years no problem. Where i live, lots of rain, and -0 temp many times, lots of humidity to. I NOT LIVE IN THE JUNGLE ! i just speak like tarzan :D .

Condensation is normal,its when it happens on a warm day,you have a problem.
its normal like when u breath in cold weather water is by product of fuel

Does white condensation smoke mean there is a problem? or is it due to cold engine or cold weather outside?
Old q, I know... condensation is very normal for a cold engine, it is when it won't stop smoking you need to worry.
