Hi David - great video - and thanks for the detail on the high caps. I’ve just fitted mine in accordance with the high caps instructions - and the ride height is far too high (almost 4cm of ground clearance!!!) and was thinking about removing the spring collars - so it’s interesting to see you’ve played around with these too.
nice i have a question have u found out a way to replace the brushes cheaply ? if so could u do a video thanks please take more care of the car might buy it off u soon lol
Yes, quite happy. Because the chassis is more flexible then the Egress or Avante, it absorbs the rough terrain better. I think it will be a very good car for racing on a dirt or grass track.
Hi Brad, yes I wanted to put the Tamiya 10.5 brushless motor in but didn’t have an esc for it. The torque splitter indeed only activates the rear brakes, so it’s a bit scary to brake. I reduced the throttle dual rate now.
Hi David, what a great review. Just love your very interesting videos. I have a small question. I also build the VQS with the optional damper set. And i noticed that it has a very high ground clearance. Did you shorten the Hi Cap dampers, using additional spacers in the damper body ? Keep up the good work. :-)
Hi Dave, niiiiiiice to see the vqs being used and abused properly, and not scared of scratching it. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks buddy ❤️
Just love your enthusiastic driving! Giving that fragile G11 part a bit of a work-out! Let us all know if it is still in one piece.
Looks very cool. Running as it should be 👍
Thanks mate!
Loved seeing it used like it should be , great stuff!
The car is fantastic, the shocks are phenomenal. However, I can't get used to them together! I like the yellow CVAs on there. Nice car dude!
They are not that hard to assemble youvk ow. I use a bit of 1Up blue grease on all the seals and they are airtight now!
Its definitely second hand now mate! Goes well on the dynatech motor mind! Great vid! 😀

Finaly a tamiya with the proper ride hight.
this video just came into my feed, that thing looks super fun, i was gonna look for an Avante, but now i might consider this....

Great video, I really want one of these… It’s just that I’ve heard that spare parts are so hard to get for it . It runs so well !
Loved the video !!
😁👍It looks very nice... all your buggies do.
So its being powered by a Dynatech 02H and a 2S lipo? FAST!
Yes, it is. It runs quite well!
it has been 6 months. Any more contents coming or are you done for now?
Did you have that motor line around that you say you're using I wish Tamiya would re-release all there old motors.
Nice RC buggy 👍
That's really fast man! What motor do you have in it?
What is the clicking noise that we hear at 5:59?
I forgot to install the small 850 bearing on the rear of the spur gear and it broke 🙃
@@davidjoos Thanks for the reply. I'm glad its not a Tamiya design flaw. Overall, are you happy with the quality of this buggy?
Yes, quite happy. Because the chassis is more flexible then the Egress or Avante, it absorbs the rough terrain better. I think it will be a very good car for racing on a dirt or grass track.
Did you have any problems with part # G11?
バンキュッシュいいですね!
I think you should put a brushless system in it.

The center dif is not buildt for bl. The Dynatech is the strongest motor you want in it.
You know what the torque splitter up front unfortunately doesn't let it stop with all four wheels.

Hiya do you know what engine I can put in a Tamiya fs-12ss please? thanks
Thanks for the build review. That gear skipping cracking sound makes me cringe though 😬
Thanks Francis. I just saw I forgot the 850 bearing on the back of the Torque splitter 🙄
@@davidjoos Ik hoop dat de schade meevalt
Ja, is best ok hoor. Nieuwe spur gear erin en rijden maar weer 😁
